Furthest south you have seen elk?

I know some of the Pine Mt Wilderness herd head down into the Brooklyn Peak - Red MT area during mid winter. That is, essentially, just North of Phoenix.

I just realized how many Red Mtns there are in the State. So to be clear, just East of Black Canyon City

I never seen them, but fishing down at Phon D Sutton had an old timer staying there in his RV, claim he had watched a small herd watering in the river for the last week... I thought maybe wild horses and he needed new glasses, but I think it could be possible

An engineer I recently worked with said he saw a 6×6 on the north side of the rail west of Bowie a few years back.

Last month saw a cow wandering around 23S, the end of Cherry Creek maybe a mile from the Salt River. It was hot as could be that day as well.
