Pretty good line up so far! I'm actually a but surprised that there aren't more 270 and 270 WSM on the list.

6 300 WM

4 243

4 6.5

3 300 RUM

3 7MM

3 257WBY

3 280

2 270 WSM

2 270

2 280

2 338

2 25-06

1 7MM WSM

1 260

1 22-250

1 7-08

1 7STW

Add another 270 wsm to the list. Mines a Model 70 Classic Laminate, bone stock and accurate enough for me.

Surprised I haven't seen 308 or 30-06 on the list.

I'll be taking my Savage 99C 308 topped with an old Redfield accu-trac 2.5-7.0.

Either my 7mm Rem Mag with 160gr Accubond's.

Or

A Weatherby Vanguard, in 257 Weatherby, launching 110gr Accubond's.

I did some scope shifting. It now wears a Leupold 6-18, with varmint reticle.

I feel Most comfortable shooting long range with my custom 338 Lapua built by Phoenix Custom Rifles... but my 257 Weatherby is a deer slaying machine, ( also half the weight) ;)

Has anyone heard that Weatherby is coming out with a 6.5-300 weatherby round--- sounds like a SMOKIN-ultra flat- powder burning SOB

Might have to look into it 😜😜🔫🔫

Yes, I have heard this too. It would be a crazy flat shooter but I would worry about barrel life.

They already have brass and ammo for the 6.5-300wby at the Sportsmans in Phoenix. Have not asked if they have a rifle in for it yet.

I would love a 6.5-300 Weatherby, but I like to shoot my rifles an I know I would burn a barrel out of it if I shoot it like I shoot my 257 weatherby. I know I have at least 700 rounds down the tube on that rifle. I just love to shoot it.

I have thought about making my 257 weatherby a 264 weatherby once I shoot the barrel out and have to rebarrel it, but it would basically just be a .264 win mag at that point with a different shoulder and not do a lot more that the 257 would.

Lance,

They are the same bolt face. In fact I even use .264 win mag brass or 7mm Rem Mag brass to make my .257 Weatherby brass since I am too cheap to buy real weatherby brass for my .257. I do wish they would do a 130gr .257 caliber HVLD. My rifle loves the 115gr. and it would be nice to get a little more BC and bullet weight out of the quarter bore.
