Hoss50 Report post Posted July 18, 2016 I would love a 6.5-300 Weatherby, but I like to shoot my rifles an I know I would burn a barrel out of it if I shoot it like I shoot my 257 weatherby. I know I have at least 700 rounds down the tube on that rifle. I just love to shoot it. I have thought about making my 257 weatherby a 264 weatherby once I shoot the barrel out and have to rebarrel it, but it would basically just be a .264 win mag at that point with a different shoulder and not do a lot more that the 257 would. In fact I even use .264 win mag brass or 7mm Rem Mag brass to make my .257 Weatherby brass since I am too cheap to buy real weatherby brass for my .257. I do wish they would do a 130gr .257 caliber HVLD. My rifle loves the 115gr. and it would be nice to get a little more BC and bullet weight out of the quarter bore. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
