Recommended Posts

Well here we go again.............. Another year with out a tag :(

Guess Ill be doing all my shooting with my camera again.

Spent the weekend up north with the oldest grandson shooting and fishing and a little yard work. Maybe its just me but some of these bulls look really big for May, its nice and green up there thanks to all the May rain. And congrats to all who drew a tag and Good Luck, should be a great year. Ill keep posting photos through out the summer. For the last couple of years ive been wanting to do a Rutting bull photo shoot, maybe this will be the year.

Enjoy the photos, I had fun Taking them

Yes these updates are awesome. Thanks for sharing with us! That 5x5 and the one with the fully formed crown (pic #8) are going to be beasts.

For some odd reason this season seems to be setting up for above average horn quality which is surprising to me with fairly weak spring precipitation. Last year I expected record horn quality due to the timely and significantly above average rainfall.....but never saw impressive horns comparatively speaking. Go figure....I sure can't explain it! There has to be some explanation apparently above my comprehension.

I think the two consecutive years of good weather is what is really helping the elk this year. My last tags i had were in drought years. Sure happy to have a tag this year with great antler growth. Great pics, keep up the good work
