Man you guys keep great records. Off the top of my head been putting in since 1981. Probably have had 7 cow tags, 3 any elk tags and 4 bull tag all rifle. So 14 tags in 31 years. I have also had two antelope rifle tags, 1985 and 2001, Take Care JLG.

I stopped hunting for 12 years for college and family. Now I wish i had kept hunting during that time. These are my elk tags:

1978 cow tag 6a

1983 late rifle bull tag 3b

1996 cow tag reservation AZ

1997 late rifle bull tag 4a

2007 late rifle bull tag 4a

2012 late rifle bull tag 4a

2013 late rifle bull tag 4a

I tagged along on these hunts with my dad and kids:

1999 late rifle bull tag 4a (my dad's tag)

2007 jr cow tag 4a (son and step-daughter's tags)

2012 lmt opp bull tag 2a/2b (my son's tag)

I've had 4 tags. One late rifle bull (drew it on my first application, spike bull was my first big game kill). One juniors only cow tag in unit 1, one in unit 27, and a early cow tag in unit 7e when I was in college. Basically, 4 tags 3 cow, 1 bull.

5b south youth cow in 1992.

Unit 1 archery bull in 2000, 2002, 2012, and 2013

My oldest son drew a youth tag at the age of 10 and didn't draw another youth tag. He is 18 years old now. This year we put him in for regular hunts and he drew a late 6a bull.

I also have two more boys that are 15 and 13. They've been trying since they were 10 for youth hunts with no luck. Now that my 15 year old is a freshman in high school and plays football and baseball not sure if he'll have time to do it right. I'm going to start putting him in for premium hunts only. In other words buying a bonus point.

You guys who have to think about it (unless you're older than 50), draw WAY too many tags. haha!

Just drew my 11th elk tag, all archery. Drew my first in 1988.

Drew my first antelope tag in 93? Had 5 of those. All but the first was archery.

I can't remember specific years, but I'm 38 now, drew my first when 14, eArly rifle bull 3C. Since then I've drawn two unit 1 archery bull tags and three 3C archery bull tags. In between those I believe I've had nine unit 1 archery cow and one unit 27 archery cow tags. I've drawn one 3C rifle antelope tag so far, that was seven years ago. Now only put for archery antelope.

This is interesting. Looks like alot of you guys have done pretty well with the draw. Seems to me like the key to enjoying life and hunting is a balance - put in for a premium or more desirable tag as 1st choice and then put in for an easier draw for 2nd choice. I used to always put in for quality bull hunts, not anymore. I want to hunt and enjoy time in the woods with my family......
