If you see any camera out of season take it down. It's not like they use seasons to determine when game should be taken. Or is that too hard to enforce as well?

Yes because this ban or season idea is for using cameras for hunting. It doesn't ban using cameras. The Game and Fish cannot ban cameras on Forest Service Land. The Forest Service or BLM has to ban it on the land they control. The Game and Fish has no authority to ban using cameras outside of hunting purposes.

If the Game and Fish bans cameras year round there will still be legal cameras up. If they create a season there will still be legal cameras up outside of that season. Your idea of everyone taking cameras down is just not possible unless you get the Forest Service and BLM on board.

Yep, that's why the rule was initially to ban them for the take of game. Everybody seemed too caught up on how difficult it was to define them being used in the take of game to realize that all azgfd was doing was creating the most widespread ban within their power.

L&F wants to redefine "take" to include "take" a picture of game without their written permission.   LOL

You can always steal cams, get caught, and then come on here and admit to/ apologize for stealing them.... most will forgive (might even praise you for ‘being a man’ and owning up to it).. it’s those darn seasons, fair chase, methods of take, and daylight hours that people get all worked up on when you’re caught bending the rules... remember the 4 rules of poaching TAB+1

  • Treat all animals as yours to take however you think is fair
  • Always have a plausible story and justification of why you’re right
  • Know where your trophy is posed and what’s beyond it for pictures
  • plus When in doubt blame the G+F for being a liberal do-nothing body of politicians that are trying to take away your freedoms

How about this for a solution. Everyone be honest and ethical and not use "Game" cameras for aid in hunting. We never had them years ago and there was still success full hunts. It might even make us better hunters. It is nice to have technology but it would be nice to turn it down a notch and go back to our human Instincts.

I suspect that a certain person wants a rule named after him for his legacy.  Maybe we could put his name on an outhouse on the Avery instead.  🤔

So, if this rule does get "approved", my guess is hundreds of wives & kids will inherit game cameras overnight to be placed at water sources to photograph birds & squirrels.  If someone's dad, husband, or friend happens to see a large buck or bull on the images when searching for birds & squirrels, they'll just not look at those illegal photos that appear at water sources inadvertently & not think about them during their hunt in the coming days, weeks, or months.

Yes, this will work & be totally enforceable.
