Why would jay talk about anything but the best... Take your vortex and go be poor somewhere else.

I see someone got you some real good weed for Christmas?

I think the quality that vortex is putting out these days is crippling the Swarovski line. A lot of people are taking notice of vortex and quickly switching and finding more deer and bigger bucks.

Sounds like something a peasant would say. An uppity peasant.

I’ve never listened to or read anything that jay Scott has put out there (except when he used to post here) but why bash the guy cause he got successful doing what we all love? Talk about class envy.

Wow these one liners are great this morning. Funny $hit.....^^^^^^^^^ A lot of guys sell their glass because they buy at guide prices and sell for more than what they actually paid and then step up to next best thing and do it again.

I don’t know but I sure was happy to pick up a nearly brand new pair at a really nice price last year. For coues hunting I still think 15’s are the gold standard. But it’s even better if you have a buddy with a spotter. That’s the best combo in my mind.

Hope everyone finds what they are looking for and that shots hit the mark! Waiting for my brother to get off of work then heading out towards the big sandy to try our luck. Didn't scout that area but haven't turned up much good sign at likely spots so taking a shot in the dark in hopes of getting my brother his first "big" game animal and something to put on the table this year. Here's a little motivation, my one and only, but it's cheating since I was on a ranch in South Texas where they are considered pests. Good luck everyone!!!

Swarovski gives guide discounts? And if so, how much? Is that why there is 300 guides in Az now?

If that tree is 60' tall, yes. If it's 6' tall, not so much. Shoot it and find out.

I believe the speed restrictions are for the sake of the targets. I could be wrong though.

We used to hunt javelina a lot near Oracle. Lots of cattle. Found javelina around them many times. One particular long weekend hunting them, we would laugh and say "better glass that herd of cows" because we were finding pigs feeding with the cows so often. It made it more difficult to sneak in, as the cows were kind of jumpy and would alert the pigs. We would have to wait for cows to move from behind a pig to get a shot. It seemed the pigs were using the cows as lookouts. Last weekend, in a heavily hunted area, I saw a good sized herd of pigs feeding on the south slope, in the sun, in typical pig fashion. I helped a younger hunter, I just met, get in on them. He was able to get two shots, but missed. It was fun to watch through the binos. I didn't even apply for pig this here. I haven't been that excited about dealing with a dead, stinky pig for a few years now. I've often thought it would be a blast to hunt them with a paintball gun. 😁
