Interesting..... The blog post from a wildlife conservation non-profit doesn't exactly support your claim regarding 'many different animals suffocating....' and it happening 'often'. I Googled too, and can't really find anything solid that supports that the theory is widespread. Here's an article that gives sort of a broad summary of how fires in general, impact wildlife. Appears the more significant impact generally comes in the form of habitat destruction and regeneration (or not).... Seems like in the past, the Kiabab herd has been pretty resilient. Hoping for the same result here.... How Does Wildfire Impact Wildlife and Forests? | U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Either way, I'm praying for monsoon rain!!!!!!

For all the money we spend on forest fires we should have a fire force. Have like 50 planes strategically placed to snuff out any fires in the west. Along with forest management. It’s ridiculous how messed up are forests are being managed! That and the fing bark beatlles…. I’m not happy shouldn’t be that hard common sense.

I want to thank you and all the volunteers that put these classes on. My son just finished up the class in flagstaff and I was very impressed with the dedication and hard work of all the instructors. A way better class than the one I took 30 years ago. Also a shout out to the sponsors who gave great prizes to all the kids. AZ G&F, Bull basin archery and many others.

Selling a Remington 870 wingmaster with 26” barrel and 30” barrel. In good condition. I believe it’s from the 80s. Asking $450 and that includes both barrels. Let me know if you have any questions! I’m located in the east valley, Gilbert/Mesa area.

Cite your source regarding that specific animal behavior during forest fires, and specifically animals suffocating at night due to lack of oxygen? Have never heard that before..... On one hand this fire absolutely sucks. That lodge and the plateau in general, was/is spectacular! (Hope they build the lodge back, including bringing back Brightie!!!) As mentioned, it sucks for this year's hunters and hikers, too. That being said, forest fires DO happen, and the long-term result is usually positive. Seems like a lot of nice bucks and bulls have been killed in burn scars over the years. S.

There are a lot that don't make it. They move down because fire moves up. They will move low in the valleys and travel through them to escape. Often at night and into early morning the smoke settles down really thick into the valleys and ravines. Causing many different animals to suffocate do to lack of oxygen. Not so much as getting burnt. Tragic no matter what. It really makes you wonder. Who really is in charge. Are We Making America Great Again or destroying it. Sure seem like the last of the two.

I can’t believe they wanted to let it burn as a controlled burn when it was only 10 acres

Arizona archery club, 1115W Deer Valley Rd. Great people, you can shoot any bow in the store, they set them up to your draw weight and poundage. I bought my last 2 bows there.

No, your tax dollars don’t pay for new upholstery or the civilian that works at the prison who manages the shop. It’s cheaper since the labor is 30 cents and hour.

Just wondering where the Deer scattered to. West or East or North still up on the plateau? Lost a lot of summer range cover.
