Thought I'd share this year's bird, as I enjoy reading others posts on here and figured I should contribute. Had to endure some brutal wind on this hunt but was able to find this guy early on his roost. Got set up where I thought he'd go and of course his fly down path was not what I had planned for when I got set up in my spot. Despite that I was able to keep him interested after he flew down with the softest purrs and light yelps I could make on a slate call. He tried his best to convince me that I should go to him, but after about 30 minutes of that game (and thankfully no real hens around), he finally made his way to me. He hung up at about 70 yards, but I changed it up with some yelps from one of Little Creeks mouth calls. That flipped his switch and he came into range. One shot and he was done. Prior to the shot, this bird had some of the most radiant red and blue color in his head that I've ever seen on a turkey. I suspect he had been perched on that tree all night by himself with only one thing on his mind. A big thanks goes to Little Creek as he makes some very good calls and is a member here. Also, of important note, the $5 a month stand by mode does still give you low speed data. It won't let you stream and move through the internet very well, sort of like old school dial up. But I have found that the low speed will still allow me to send and receive texts and audio phone calls without drops or issues.

I've decided to sell a Gen 1 Ruger American predator 308 with 18" factory threaded(5/8-24) barrel. It has the flush fit rotary style magazine. It's the standard green Ruger gen 1 stock with rattle can camo job. I opened up the forend a little and filled the voids in the forend with JB Weld to stiffen the forend, reducing the chance of contact with the barel. Shot gold metal match and two hand loads at 3/4 inches. $350 bare rifle. For $200 more it can come with the DNZ two piece rings in the photos and the brand new Bushnell R5 scope I just bumped to the top of the classifieds(unless someoneclaims the scope 1st). Or for $100 more a gently used Burris droptine 3-9x40 BDC scope and the dnz rings. I'll be at Carefree Hwy and I-17 area this Sunday 5/3. Willing to meet at Sportsmans Warehouse in North Phoenix. 

Also, consider the gx 470 instead of the 4th gen. The headroom in the 470 is sooo much better than the 4th gen and prices aren’t a that much different on them.

The 2 boxes of Nosler Ballistic Tips is 22ct. Does that mean there is 18ct brass there? The handloads are all on normal 25-06 brass not made from 30-06 brass correct? Also do you have the head stamp and count of once fired brass?

My son has a 2006 Dodge Ram that was having issues we thought were catastrophic. We looked for a few days trying to find a repair shop that would diagnose the problem without charging crazy fees. While considering our options I happened across a CWT post mentioning Hunter. With nothing to lose, we decided to give him a call. Since you asked… I’ve got about 10 days sheep hunting and 3 javelina hunts in the Lexus and really like it. The 4runner gets around a little better but the Lexus has more headroom and fits me and my boys better.
