Interesting comment.. I don't believe there are more than 2 millennials that have posted in this thread, if any, and the OP isn't.

If you happen to be in Pinetop over this Memorial Day weekend, feel welcome to stop in and say hello. It would be nice to put some faces with names. I will be in my booth of landscape photography at the art show being held Fri-Sun at The Gathering Place across from Pinetop Lakes Country Club on Buck Springs Road. My booth is on the concrete basketball court on the east end of the show grounds. Bull is from GCNP 7/2015 Doug

I may not agree 100% with the stances this organization takes on all issues, but I do appreciate the conservation work they do, and that my money stays in the state for Arizona. If I were to only contribute to and or participate in organizations that were 100% in alignment with my way of thinking... well I don't think one exists. At least I haven't found one yet. So in the mean time I'll continue to support ones that are pretty close, and will do the greatest good with my contributions. Thank you Dave and ADA team. We may not be 100% in agreement on the trail camera issue, but I strive to be open minded enough to understand and respect why you have adopted the position you have. Moreover, I appreciate the heck out of you guys and all you do for wildlife in Arizona.

Well newbie the answer to your question is no. Most on here have big trailers for total comfort for their whole crowd of helpers. 🤣

The organization has received a handful of emails from individuals who do not support our view. But the emails thanking us for publicly taking a stand while other organizations have been silent and supporting the ban has run roughly 3/1 in our favor. Either way we must be doing something right....Since the first of the year our fundraising efforts have netted just over $525.000 thousand dollars....with every cent going back into the ground here in Az....

Loosing the support of a portion of the online hunting community was and is a chance we as an organization are willing to take.....As the Arizona Deer Association...Not the Arizona Deer Hunters Association we always have and always will do what the organization believes to be in the best interests of all wildlife in the state...That is not always what a portion of the hunting community wants. We as an organization hope that we receive support from the hunting community but more importantly we hope that if we don’t receive the support that one of the other organizations do. In the end the ultimate goal is a healthy wildlife population...

Daryl....I hope you don’t let our organizations decision to do what we thought was in the best interest of wildlife in Az keep you from donating to one of the other wildlife organizations that put all the money made back into the ground to help all wildlife here in the state. Here’s to a great season for all hunters.....Dave

I guess “good bull” is in the eye of the beholder. Admittedly, I had set my sights on a bull north of 370. My bull didn’t come close to that! Would I trade my 320ish bull and the experience I had getting him for a 400” bull that I showed up and shot? Not a chance!

Inevitably, some applicants will never get a tag so it’s not an either or scenario. And I don’t see the additional “deservedness” of one applicant having applied for one more year being commensurate with the difference in draw odds between max and one-off max. I know that it’s shitty to think that some people who have waited 40 years may never get to hunt. I would love it if we all could be guaranteed that possibility. But I also think it is equally as shitty for someone who is 25 today to apply for the next 60 years and never get to hunt, which absolutely will happen. There is no magic bullet. My opinion certainly will not be popular with those who have max or near max points, but it also isn’t only to benefit “kids and newbies”. It’s just my opinion, I don’t write any policies or rules so no need for anyone to get too bunched up over it.

So we should prioritize tags for people who got to hunt when Kaibab any deer tags were OTC and so were elk tags? I love my grandpa but...
