https://www.fs.usda.gov/r03/coconino/newsroom/releases/fire-restrictions-begin-friday-coconino-nf "FLAGSTAFF, Ariz., May 28, 2025 — The Coconino National Forest will implement Stage 1 fire and smoking restrictions 8 a.m., Friday, May 30, to help prevent human-caused fires and to limit the potential for catastrophic wildfires during periods of dangerous fire weather conditions. Under Stage 1 restrictions, fires, campfires, charcoal, coal, wood stoves and smudge pots are prohibited, except within a developed recreation site. Smoking is also prohibited, except within an enclosed vehicle, building or an official developed recreation site. Using a device that is solely fueled by pressurized liquid petroleum, propane or LPG fuels that can be turned on and off is allowed in areas that are barren or cleared of all overhead and surrounding flammable materials within 3 feet of the device. " In the last couple of days, I have seen on WatchDuty.org small fires near Mormon Lake, Dogtown Lake, Marshall Lake, Wing Mtn, Tusayan, North Kaibab.

In early October last year we took my son’s youth hunt coues to Mogollon Taxidermy and he said turnaround was right around 12 months. In March he posted on his Instagram that in order to keep the turnaround at about 12 months he is not taking any new customers. He said will take on new work from existing customers already in the system. He’s definitely one of the best there is, so he’s swamped with work. In October 2010 I shot a nice coues and had Wellers do the shoulder mount. Everything in their shop looked PERFECT! They told me nine months turnaround on my shoulder mount and that’s exactly what it was. They did a fantastic job on that mount and still looks as good as the day I brought home 14 years ago.

I would put Weller’s at the top of the most honest and good turn around. Their quality is top notch also

Not in Tucson, but I have one I bought from another member a few years ago that I have never got around to doing anything with. It's a Titanium unlimited 200. Has a cart, bottle, and some odds and ends. I think I'm $400 into it.

Best friend owns a welding company. But I've told my son if that's what he wants to do after HS, I'd pay for his education.

Remington 700 chambered in 300 WSM, 23" Shilen barrel, Timney trigger, midnight black ceracote, Magpul stock. Less than 150 rounds thru it, very accurate. It was built for Colorado Elk and long range, but never hunted with, I did shoot it out to 1000 yards with success once. I have reloading equipment available if needed, for the rifle only I am asking $800.00. Located near Deer Valley, Scottsdale, all laws apply. Trade interests in 6 Arc/6.5 Creedmoor. 719.761.3450

I hate when sellers play games. Just list a price and pictures so we know what your looking to get

There’s still good ones. I’ve been using the same guy for 25 plus years and there’s no BS , no excuses. I can drop in anytime and he’s working on stuff , and I’ve never had anything in for over a year. He’s mounted darn near everything I’ve killed in my Az big 10, plus some stuff from out of state and country. Taken friends there and they get the same results. I’m not gonna post name as he’s winding down, and not necessarily taking new clients. Point is.. not all are flakes and crooks, just have to fine out who isn’t . You can’t label all taxi’s as bad . Most get into it cause they love hunting as much as we all do

Had a nice coues at R&R taxidermy for two years and never mounted. Finally went and picked it up and a mouse had chewed some of the velvet. They said they would fix and i just took my money and went to wild heritage taxidermy. He fixed it real nice and did a beautiful mount but it took another 2 years before i got it back. Sucks to hear all this cuz it was good work. Lately i have had Millers Southwest Taxidermy do my kaibab mule deer and my bison and a euro elk. all very fast turn around times. Even cleaned my bison skull to keep before he mounted it and cape was done.

Haha wow, what a ride! Gotta love those late-night "random" stops. Glad it all went smoothly—sounds like you handled it like a champ, shirt off and all 😂 And of course the lights magically work once you get home… classic!
