We had alot of fun while chasing the September Bugles. It was tough for finding big bulls this year however, with the drought during horn growth season. We passed on many herd bulls trying to find something better. We shot the biggest bull we saw, a bull I saw while scouting, minus one tine, on the 4th day of hunting, which happens to be our shared birthday! Getting in position and the final sequence and realization of the accomplishment will be quite the memory for the rest of our lives. My wife and daughter are better shots than myself and most men for some reason. Maybe because they care just a little bit less and that allows them to focus on the task better?

If it identifies as a buck, you can shoot it these days.

Thanks for taking the high road and let us know your success. As others have mentioned, AZGFD website has good starting points. When scouting 33, those burned area offer some of the best deer forage available. Coues like the rough country with cover and a water source within a few miles. Get some good glass and enjoy time hunting with your dad.

I’ve been up for 21 hours, posting from the bar. Went out this morning (yesterday morning whatever the case may be) again. Glassed up a 4x4 with crab points before the sun came up and nothing after that

So sorry for your loss. I lost my red heeler back in 2017 and miss him terribly, I had him 12 years also. Goes by way too fast....

Can you imagine cleaning that rig after a week long Elk hunt🤣

And Sales Dude it's three years old. C'mon the prices on RV's drop like a rock once they leave the lot. So how hard up are you anyway for a sale. Just starting out? Looking for new marks by trolling any and all websites you can find? Can't even post a proper post with pertinent info.

Well it was great shooting the .45 longs. Good lock up, easy in and out of the pistol. Half the empty casings fell out the cylinder with no extraction needed. The Winchester Cowboy Loads were a little snappier than I expected. Doubtful I'll hand load for over 850fps. Date your Pietta 1858 before buying a cylinder. If your Pistol is over 20 years old, some gunsmithing maybe needed for proper fit.

My cousin has the elk and deer tag in that unit.

Good luck. Both my kids had that elk tag last year. I'll never forget them both tagging their first elk. Enjoy every minute of it.

I will be either in a Black Ram 2500, or a Green Nissan Xterra. Awesome that he can reach out to 300 yards and is comfortable there! For what it's worth, the last 5 Elk kills between myself and my direct family in 22N combine for about 115 yards total The long shots are DEFINTELY out there, but they like to walk right up on you as well! Just be ready!

Out of all on the list, I only met hoghntr. I traded PMs with biglakejake plenty of times but never met him. He was one I was sure I either knew or met somewhere before. All of his posts mention places I’ve been and people I know. It was like he was in my head. He seemed like a real good guy.

Champion makes a great safe. Bigger bolts, longer fire rating. Get bigger than you need and no matter what, bolt it to the foundation.

+1 regarding getting larger than you think you need, if possible. Safes are like tents, IMO. When was the last time you saw a "4 man" tent that would actually fit 4 guys??? 🙄

I have a Champion safe that I really like. We had a break in a few years back and the thieves tried to pry the door open and tried to pry up the safe too! Have it anchored very well…they didn’t mess with it much and moved on to other things. It has a few small paint chips from whatever they used but that’s no big deal to me. It did it’s job!

We have 1 for 5BS. We're super excited - last minute scouting this weekend.

Sheds from 37B probably 25 years ago. The unit had buckets of deer back then but I suppose most of the state did back in the mid nineties
