Had a few good mornings recently. Caught a 5-2, 4-4 and a 2-8 yesterday. Caught a 5-8, 3-13, 4-2 and a 2-6 last week. Two weeks ago got a 5-2, 4-10, two 4-7s, 3-10, 2-12 and a 2-10. Sorry about the upside down pics.

The stories in this thread explain why everyone should carry. I just met with an elderly lady in Tucson and I told her she should absolutely own a firearm based on our conversation. I told her one of my favorite phrases. When seconds matter the police are only minutes away.

The other problem with moving cans from rifle to rifle is the heat. The suppressor gets hot and needs to cool too. So if you have 2 rifles at 1 range session, moving them rifle to rifle is hard. Start with a 30cal and then figure out what the next one should be.

My neighbor in Mesa drove out to Picketpost mountain in Nov 23 ( I think) they went to the big clearing of the old highway to shoot but there were residual cars there from a rave party. They went down the road further to shoot. After a couple hours they decided to drive back to the mine road and look for a better place to shoot? Both in separate trucks. My buddy saw an I phone lying in the road so he picked it up. He drove on and there was a guy standing in the road. He stopped to not hit him. The guy came to his window and didn't say a thing. My buddy held up the phone and asked if it was his. The guy grabbed it and then tried to force his way into the truck. My buddy said he didn't have time to even grab his gun on his hip. Just hit the gas and drug the guy until he let go. He and his buddy decided to leave. They got out of there both shaken up [75 year olds) the next day he saw on the news that the guy who tried to car Jack him killed the next guy who came down the road!

Thats why I only use paper, stored in cardboard box next to the fireplace.

Aftermath, got all the leftovers in the oven baking out the moisture. About to start some nice garden beds with these as layer number 2.

Came up to Heber Wednesday, unloaded, and miracle of miracles, it started to sprinkle. Beautiful long 4 plus hours, almost. 1 /2” before it stopped. Thursday , repeat , but-not quite 1/4”. It’s been insanely dry up here, I stood in the rain until the temp went mid 50s, got “cool”. Today it hit 90 again. Black Canyon lake is all but dry. Pray for rain.

Just curious, do you know "how" to hunt generally speaking? It's all about knowing how to glass honestly. Past that proper shooting techniques and knowing your range. Are you experienced really is what I'm asking.

Thank you Catfishkev! I haven’t ever been in the unit so I really appreciate the help. I will absolutely provide an update (hopefully successful) of my hunt!

Nomad Ti is a good one. For hunting cans i stay away from the Ls. Starting with 1, I'd go with a 30cal can. Diligent Defense Enticer STi is my favorite 30cal based on performance, weight, length,and how the company takes care of the customer. Silencerco Scythe Ti is another favorite. I treat suppressors like optics. Set up a rifle with a scope and a suppressor and dont move them. Where do you live? Maybe meet up and try a few?

We did fresh fish we caught off the Channel Islands off Ventura on Wed. Battered and fried for tacos. Calico bass and white fish. No pics, too fried from being pool side i. 80 degree temps with cold ones! Hope all had a great 4th.

Yup, I'm 60 with a sense of humor that ranges from about 14 years old to 20ish. Get my old buddies and I together on a golf course or around a fire at hunting/fishing camp and it's high school & college all over again.

Looks good, guys! I'm doing a pork butt today. Pup wants to get her nose in there anytime I go near the smoker to add more mesquite or to check the temp. LOL Happy 4th!

What you guys doing today? Got some Maryland crabs and doing a crab and crawdad boil. Bout to throw a couple chickens on the smoker.

Finally had a chance to mount one of my own bucks. Found this guy cruising an oak hillside just after he had gotten out of his bed in the afternoon. Good luck to all that got some CC hits!
