Well on the initial elk draw we drew 0/4 tags……we were absolutely bummed!!!! Mailed 4 individual apps for 5BN limited cow hunts from Tucson on Thursday, all weekend I was thinking did it get there early and they kicked it out or did make there today. Well I checked my portal today at 4:30….boom tag #13-hunt 3812 10/17-23 drawn for myself. Asked my daughter to check her portal….boom tag 3811 10/10-16 for her. Asked my youngest boy checked his portal….boom tag #12-hunt 3812 10/17-23. So back to back hunts for us three. So far 3 for 4. My oldest is on his way home to check his account🤞, just maybe!!!!!

I felt bad using them for bait. One second, eating beef. The next, swallowed by a crappie

I definitely caught at least 2 age classes today. Not sure if they stocked 2 or what. 10-11” and monster slabs.

Wash, rinse repeat. At least until you become de-sensitized to the violence. The price of beef takes a little sting out of the blow.

Any competent gunsmith can thread a barrel. Muzzle breaks are terribly loud, but effective at reducing recoil. Have you thought of just putting a suppressor on them? Best of both worlds imo. Less recoil, slower recoil pulse and way less noise. Try Axisworks in the valley or phoenix custom rifles to get your barrel threaded. Like I said before tho, Any gunsmith can thread a barrel.

    Is this a question?

It might be chambered for 3” shells but nowadays 3” 16 gauge shells are made from unobtainium. nice shotgun, I’ll bid $750

I was obsessed with these things when I was a kid. Never understood why they were 7.82?

I ain’t Irish, so I cooked me corned beef brisket today.,, hadn’t had it since I was a kid and didn’t remember if I even liked it. 90 minutes in the Instapot, super EZ and pretty dang good. Had boiled red potatoes to keep it ethnic, but I hate cabbage so that was out of the question.

You might have to shorten that magazine tube an inch

Thanks again everyone! I will be back in December for the same hunt for the third year in a row. This time my Dad drew the tag. Super pumped for him. He has only shot one Bull in Az and has been a resident since 1987. He shot a spike at last light on the last day of the season 12 years ago in unit 1. Driving home that night they hit a cow elk and totaled their car. Although he won a .270 for smallest bull that year, I know he wants to shoot a nice bull. So I will do what I can to make that happen.

My minnows are absolutely blood thirsty for ground beef. Gonna film them feeding. They’re like piranha

H&K 22 magnum got the job done. Sorry no exciting 999 yard head shots. 25 yards and one shot between the eyes. Im old and need to get up close.

36A, Marlin 336, 30-30. My sons, not mine. I refused to hike to the top of this peak

I also ordered a Geissele braided buffer spring. Hopefully that does the trick.
