I read on another site that the Dem Senator from NM (Martin Heinrich, sp?) was instrumental in getting enough support to get the land grab pulled. I've never voted for a Dem, but I contacted him and thanked him for it. The politicians will have to find another way to drum up some funds for them to waste!

I've seen they are claiming it's about housing etc. So why TF are they wanting sell off the entirety of 4a/5a? No one can or wants to live there especially in the winter when you couldn't even get through the snow to your house. I can kind of see if they were selling some forest land around cities to expand them but 80% of the land on the map is in BFE.

Too bad you weren't closer to Tucson. That's a great deal.
