My first Coues sheds that I found early this year. Small and older, but love the potential of this buck with that cheater off his right brow tine. Happened to be sideXside too

I am selling my Savage/Lazzeroni Patriot rifle and everything that goes with it. The rifle has approximately 200 rounds through it and has killed pretty much everything that it has ever shot at. I took it to Lance here on the sight about 5 years ago and he worked up the load for it. It has always shot great but I wanted him to tweak it in and get the most of the load. It will come with the die set, several hundred bullets, over a pound of powder and all the ammo and brass that I have. Lazzeroni stopped making the Patriot and the brass so I have some brass that is head stamped different that I neck sized up. There is also about 900 Federal GM210m primers and Lances notebook with all the data. Feel free to call or message me with any questions. I am looking to get $800 for everything. Feel free to make me an offer. Thanks for looking. 480-294-5673

I had a great first day of my season in between storms with @trphyhntr. We were the only crappie guys on the lake. I'd read here from Dan that SC stocked crappies. I believed them a couple minutes in and would bet the boat they were blacknose. All but 3 on the table were bn and they are looking great for the spawn. Thank you to them for the stocking and I hope they sell some licenses for the ROI. I'll be back.

It was not a Governor tag. Just a raffle tag. He killed it on Dec 31st, last day of his hunt. Got permission to recover it on New years day. He lied to people and told them he was deer hunting but we all do that. He also claims that the land owner never asked for a trespass fee. All done by voice mail.

I don’t think I’ve seen anyone try to say it was killed illegally

Pronghorn, that's very interesting... I thought they had horns and didn't shed?

The bull was killed legally- it was shot on private property and he paid a access fee, it was a governor's tag - which allows the holder to hunt anytime and it was killed outside of a general season. - The hunter has killed 80 elk with his bow so he knows what he is doing.

Very cool find. I've only ever found one marched set. Mule deer 4x4 just NW of Roosevelt about 35 years ago.

Looks like you found a place that doesn't get much human traffic. Cool find.

Never came across a matching set of any species so that's pretty cool. I was so stoked when I found my first shed.

Coues have a small home range, 1.5 to 2 miles squared. So the bucks will be close enough. Look for clumpy buck turds rather then pellets to start. Also focus on north facing slopes and drainages and cuts, basically shady spots deer will bed. But the best thing you could probably do is glass the areas you are interested in. Tripod plus binos and just look and see what the deer in that area are doing.

Read the OL article, pretty interesting. Seems like the neighbor of the private property he shot it on sure had a real hard on for the hunter.

Thanks again everyone! I will be back in December for the same hunt for the third year in a row. This time my Dad drew the tag. Super pumped for him. He has only shot one Bull in Az and has been a resident since 1987. He shot a spike at last light on the last day of the season 12 years ago in unit 1. Driving home that night they hit a cow elk and totaled their car. Although he won a .270 for smallest bull that year, I know he wants to shoot a nice bull. So I will do what I can to make that happen.
