Top water bite from 5:15 to 7:30 this morning was absolutely amazing. 27 Bass landed . Biggest went around 7 . Didn't weigh any . The bite was to good to stop. 😀. Just pulled into my favorite cove. Throwing up some shade. And my Dad has caught two crappie already. Just threw two rods out, and two minutes later two nice crappie. . going to be a good day. Going to get windy later. That's okay. Gives me time to rest and clean some of the crappie. And make lunch. Crappie nuggets fried in Marie Calenders cornbread mix,Cole slaw, and corn fritters, and Cajun fries. Mmmm

Bass bite was non existent. Crappie bite on minnows. Was very slow going at first light this morning. Anything the you could crank on. (Example) Small fat rap, lipless cranks, spinner bait, crappie jig, panther martins ,small swim jig..Dad and I went straight from the dock to the cove Dad and I always fish. Water level is down from a couple weeks ago. About 4.5 vertical feet. Had a nicer area to beach and sit. We never moved from that spot from 530 to 130 and caught over 100 fish. All crappie except for one 3 pound bass. That cove is amazing. It always produces fish. Dad set in the back seat of the boat and for 3 hours straight he threw anything he could tie on. Lures that have set in his tackle box for 40 years. And caught crappie non stop. A couple natives wanted some fish so we gave them my 25 limit. And brought 20 home . Weighed the bag with them in it. And 37.8 pounds was the weight. Totally wore out.

First off welcome to The forum and asking a question that's not asking where you should hunt when you suddenly drew a tag is super okay with everybody here I'm pretty sure. I would simply require them to show you a driver's license and you write it down and complete a bill of sale print out two copies he keeps one or she and you keep one. There was a post here a couple years ago where a member had sold a firearm to someone and that person ended up killing themselves with that firearm family didn't really go after the guy per se but it definitely made him feel like he had a cloud over his head from what I remember. Just do your due diligence and make sure their ID matches them and they sign everything and that is your legal obligation as far as I understand it.

He's doing great. He has gained about 40 pounds back and is in really good shape. Always working on something or walking, riding horses, and just really enjoying life right now. Thank you for asking. He is Kicking my butt in fishing. About a 3 to 1 ratio sometimes even more. He sure can catch them on that dang buzz bait.

Don’t they hire a third party to do all that work anyway?

I think demand has cooled across a lot of markets that use antlers. The dog chew market has so many people doing it that the prices are very competitive with not much margins anymore. I know a lot go to China and I wonder if the tariffs are going to slow their buying. I buy a couple hundred lbs every month for custom gun grips so I am looking forward an easing in prices.

Help Tiffany and Harper Through This Tragic Loss Hello fellow cwt members. I am very sad to say that codyhuntsaz aka Cody Smith passed away while Coues deer hunting in unit 36b on December 2, 2024. He was extremely active on cwt.com and loved this community. I have included the gofundme text and information below: Cody Smith, a beloved husband, father, and friend from Gilbert, AZ, tragically passed away at the age of 43 on December 2, 2024, while deer hunting with a close friend. He collapsed in their camp trailer, and despite his friend’s courageous efforts to administer CPR—along with assistance from other campers in the area—Cody could not be revived. Unfortunately, emergency services were over an hour away, and it was too late by the time they arrived. Cody leaves behind his loving wife, Tiffany, and their 8-year-old daughter, Harper. They are now facing the profound grief of losing Cody while also navigating the financial burden of his unexpected passing. The costs of laying Cody to rest, preparing for the holidays, and managing without his income weigh heavily on their shoulders. We deeply appreciate everyone who has supported Tiffany and Harper with meals or through Meal Train donations. For those who may not know, Meal Train also accepts monetary contributions. However, to further ease their financial burden, we have started this GoFundMe campaign. If you are able, please consider donating to help this beautiful family during this incredibly difficult time. No amount is too small—every bit helps. Your generosity will go a long way in supporting Tiffany and Harper as they begin to heal and rebuild their lives. Thank you for your kindness and support.
