Just got back from a day and a half of fishing Lees. Still disappointingly slow. I landed 12, lost about another 6 hook ups that spit the hook, and probably another dozen strikes that didn’t hook. My buddy was about the same. Caught and released the biggest brown I’ve ever caught there, a big female that would go 5-6 honest lbs. and before the shite starts, my buddy who was supposedly videoing forgot to hit the start button on his phone… so no, I don’t have a pic…54-57 degree waters, and the kayakers are still like water pollution. The cicadas were buzzing pretty good yesterday, so that fun should be starting up

As long as you hunt fields like the first one. Now the second picture you just take your chances.

Back up for sale. Held this for the buyer on a hand shake. Told he would pick it up in a few days. Then I had to try and chase him down after multiple excuses for almost a month. I’m now cancelling the sale. He did the same thing to me previously on some GPS dog collars.also held them for a month. I had an opportunity to sell to another member but held it as promised. Of course the second person that would have bought it has since bought a shotgun.Shame on me for thinking a hand shake actually means the same thing to all people. Anyway the gun is back up for sale. Please PM me if interested. Thanks Phil I am selling my Browning Citori 20 gauge. It was made in 1996 and has only been used once to shoot a round of Skeet. Almost 30 years old yet like new. Do a little homework on the political affiliation of the many ranchers in this state who own 100 acres or less deeded that is contiguous with their 20k-50k acre 150 head Fed grazing lease and many of them shut us fellow conservative/ republicans down from accessing it. Then dig a little further and when you find out what said rancher pays per cow/calf pair per year to graze it, it will really piss you off

Democrats wouldn’t vote for this bill because it is a Republican bill. They all hate Trump and conservative republicans ideas. The only thing in the world that could get me to vote for a democrat is a Republican wanting to take our public land. I might move to Utah just so I can vote against Mike Lee.
  13. 1 point
Everyone in Utah needs to remember what Lee has tried to do and not vote him in again!

The Legalis 1000 is a smooth reel. I have one on an ultralight I have used for probably 5 years. I like it better than the Shimano Sedona as it is smoother. I use them both for Trout on Shakspeare 4'6" graphite rods with 4&6# test. I have a 2500 Stella I also use but it is on a 6'6 St Croix with 8# test I also use for trout but it is a bit overkill.

Some of you really know how to kick a man while he is down even after a public apology! Thanks! As far as the 31-32 question, one of the tag holders drew with 21 points. Congrats to him and anyone else that drew a sheep tag. Jeff

Walapai Johnny was like a grandpa to me. One of my heroes. I grew up around him, learned how to roll smokes and drink Lord Calvert whiskey straight from the jug from that old man. When I was in middle school my class was assigned to do a report on somebody they admired. While most people chose to report about celebrities and athletes, I interviewed Walapai and did my report on him. Man the stories he could tell. When I turned in my assignment, the teacher told me the assignment was supposed to be about a real person and that she was going to make me re do the paper. When I told Walapai about this he drove his 1959 Ford cattle truck from Fredonia, Arizona to Cedar City, Utah and came to my class, told the teacher he heard that she didn't think he was real and proceeded to enchant the entire class with his stories. Needless to say I got an A after that. This was a couple of years before he died, I was probably 14 and he was in his 80s. He was the last of the true cowboys, or as he referred to himself, " the last of the blue-eyed Indians." Walapai died in 1996 from an infection in his leg which the docs told him that he could live for a few more years if he would let them amputate his leg. He told them "I came into this world a whole man, I'm goin out the same." Rest in peace Cowboy, you made me who I am today.

That’s a great unit. Killed a nice buck in there back in 2017. My advice is to cover lots of ground and take pics of everything nice you see and then sort through them and pick the biggest one out, and then do it again the next day.
