So, you're saying there's now a single woman at G&F that might be able to help me get draw every year like you?! 😄

My father had to bring a 22 rifle to school for marksmanship class in PE. Rural Minnesota. A whole class of young kids on the school bus with rifles. Good ol days.

This 760 was dad's first new gun, bought it in1952. The Weaver variable 1.5-3X was quite the bomb 70 years ago. We've taken so much game with it, its nicknamed the 'Meatpole.'

I couldn’t be happier with the work they did on my nevada ram at Henry’s Taxidermy in Kingman.

My nephew hunted otc elk for two hours. It was his first big game animal since he was 13. Fun quick hunt. 20230315_174812.mp4

It won't with a good load, rifle and shooter. The center of the charge weight node and low SD tested on a chrono makes the teetering irrelevant if you're consistent.

Ludwig Borovnik double shotgun, Mfg. in Ferlach, Austria in 1964. 16ga. 2 3/4" chambers, 27 1/2" barrels, 6lbs. 6oz., LOP 14 1/4" to front trigger, cheekpiece, sling swivels, scalloped action, crossbolt top fastener, ejectors, game scene engraving. Metal in excellent condition, wood has a few minor marks. I shot some preserve birds with it a few times. I've thought about selling it a few times before but I was hoping my sons would want to hunt with this gun. They've decided they prefer O/Us so it's time for it to go. Lowest cash price is $2450.00 Willing to take partial trades for new production Anaconda 44mag, HK USP 45, long slide 10mm, or?

I’d say yes and no. But neck tension with give your SD trouble long before 1/10 of a grain of powder will.

Test it. The answer varies by load/rifle.

Back to back early archery tags. Last year unit 27, this year unit 9. My hunting group hates me. Lol Killed my first bull last year scored just shy of 340. Going for bigger this year.

I still show no tag, must be some sort of error. They should redo the draw until I get one.

I'm a outdoorsman and a stud. How much money do you have?

I dont see the double standard... you would not be automatically charged with anything if your dog bites someone. You could be, if you are negligent. What would happen to you is exactly what is gonna happen here, a lawsuit and being held responsible for all damages.

To be honest if I don't find a trade that is interesting enough to swap I'm going to rebarrel it with a Pac-Nor featherweight contour barrel and slap it in an Accurate Innovations laminate stock. I will replace the bottom metal with the aluminum featherweight ones and go to talley's as suggested. I'm actually of the younger generation you speak of, and have nothing but respect for the craftmanship and utility this rifle offered for years. Thinking of letting it go does bother me but I figured I'd give someone a chance to take it in it's original form to keep it's heritage going.

If you can locate a Ruger M77 Ultralight in .270 Winchester, that rifle would match your desire for a similarly styled bolt gun with a classic wood stock and be lighter in weight overall. It hasn’t been manufactured in a number of years and isn’t in Ruger’s current catalog, maybe a gunbroker search could turn one up. I have found laminate stocks to be close in weight to standard wood stocks given similar shape, if not a smidge heavier. Have you thought of going with a lighter replacement stock and keeping your ‘46 era Win M70? That, along with lightweight Talley mounts and rings and a lightweight carry strap would shave some weight from your proven, older-gal and keep her in the woods and your family. These heirloom rifles just do not have the appeal to the younger, modern-minded hunters as they did to our generation who thought the world of the pre-war and pre-64 M70 Winchesters. They were, after all, known as The Rifleman’s Rifle. You may find it easier to sell the rifle outright here to a member and then use the cash to purchase your next rifle. Good luck in your search!

300 wm is a do-all round. I’ve shot several coues with one and it wasn’t any worse than my .264wm that i always hunt with. Shot one with a .338 Lapua….only one. 10/10 Would not recommend.
