AZGF needs to grow a pair, and make all reporting mandatory , or no draw the following year. Their piece meal approach is a joke. This is mandatory, but this is not….wth? NM requires it, the Navajo Nation requires it… the whole “ we don’t want to lose hunter retention and recruitment “ BS has sailed.

I think demand has cooled across a lot of markets that use antlers. The dog chew market has so many people doing it that the prices are very competitive with not much margins anymore. I know a lot go to China and I wonder if the tariffs are going to slow their buying. I buy a couple hundred lbs every month for custom gun grips so I am looking forward an easing in prices.

I could be wrong but if memory serves me correctly based on the game and fish presentations, archery success was around 11%-13% and hunters hunting with crossbows during OTC archery hunts was around 33%. This was part of the argument made for removing crossbows from all the archery hunts. As more archery units go to draw it just forces archers to move to fewer remaining OTC hunts. Thus, you will see more units go to draw. Some units are more conducive to road hunters. I predict you will see 20A go to draw in a year or two as well. I'll admit, once G&F required mandatory reporting then started publishing the actual numbers of deer taken during OTC hunts, I was very surprised. Most the mule deer units get hammered. Call me whatever you want but I have always believed there should be no OTC opportunities for NR's. AZ just doesn't have the numbers of animals to allow this. Human population in this state is growing at 1 million every 8-9 years yet our animal populations are decreasing or staying same. Then throw in uncontrolled wolf numbers, feral horses/burros, drought and loss of habitat. Somethings got to give.

I think the majority of it is because of smart phones. I've noticed when I'm talking about something oddly, I get spam on the subject or when I do a search it auto populates. These phones are always listening.

Assuming use case will be AZ Rim lakes which have shallow ramps & both of the boat's integrity & capacity placards are fairly equal. Ask yourself some of the following ?'s to help guide you to the decision (i'm sure others on CWT can chime in with additional suggestions). Boat interior configuration which is more conducive of your fishing style (Rod, Tackle box cooler placement) Greater Beam Width will provide more space for gear and to move around Greater Chine width will provide a lit bit more stability if you need to stand up for a minute & when getting into boat from dock (at this price point there might be only trivial gains by a inch or two) Greater Freeboard height will bring some comfort if the wind kicks up some waves. Transom height will guide future upgrades on trolling or outboard motors Trailer bunk height in the back, once you get above 20" you need to put the tow vehicle's back wheels deeper into the water to float you boat. Remedies if you are having trouble floating the boat off the trailer & hate wet socks (Hitch extender or longer trailer tongue) "Tight lines"

Anywhere from $1,000 for bare boat/trailer and maybe a trolling motor to $3-4,000 for more micsellaneous stuff included. Reason for asking is I cane across one for $1,300 and another for $1,500 and was trying to make sure I was getting a good deal. I think either one would I’d come out ahead, but just thought I’d check.

August otc is my version of Christmas. I have spent more time hunting unit 1 than most. I don't think harvest is the only factor g&f is considering. The amount of hunters over the last few years since they instituted harvest objectives is absolutely insane and I am sure only increase. Secondly, g&f needs to institute mandatory reporting for draw tags as well to get a more accurate version of harvest. It is with mixed emotions and some sadness that I support the draw for these units.
