Headed up Wednesday to drop off my trailer and knew the snow was coming. Dropped it off and head back home to Buckeye to sleep in warm bed and grab some stuff I forgot. Went back up Thursday to a chit show of snow and cold weather. Friday morning I slept in and didn’t bother to go out. It was 10 degrees, snowing, and windy. Drank some beers in the trailer till about 2 when it cleared and found some pigs right away at my first glassing spot. Dropped the biggest one I saw and the rest is history.

Drew a 37A tag along with 9 other hunting buddies. As you know Th/Fr was a complete weather phenomenon, our camp became a mud boggers paradise. Glad I brought 2 pairs of boots. One tag filled late Friday. Saturday got on them and what a blast to hunt them in the snow. Following tracks was a friggin blast. Got two more down. This morning we were able to drop 3 more. Fantastic trip, had a newbie hunter actually see some, put a stock on them yesterday and today but missed due to buck fever. He is hooked for next year. Good ole WGP making snack sticks and chorizo.

Glassing wasn’t working well- snow was 12-20 inches on the hillside. About 11 we decided to start hiking ridgelines and try to find pigs down in the cuts. After a few hours finally located a herd. We snuck in to 143 yards and the rest is history! Fun facts- it was 3 degrees in the morning- the key in the ranger ignition was frozen solid, had to use coffee to get the ranger to turn over several times in the morning.

But we still should be good stewards of what has been given to us.

I'm a Ford fanboy. IMO a solid front axle is awesome. Both of the powertrains are good but Chevy messed up with their stupid DEF tank hanging so dang low. I would not want to chance taking it offroad too much.

Well you have your career politician (Al Gore) who had a law background, write a book on science, win a Nobel Prize. Could something be wrong?

Imagine if we could have the science without politically slanted models. We’d know what was going on and just accept that either way we don’t have the power to reverse it.

We got just over 40 inches here in Flagstaff. Yes, we set a single day record, breaking a 100-year record for the most snow in a single day, but we've had much harder storms over the last few years. 2-3 years ago, we had 48 inches in three days and we've had multiple storms that were 30+ inches over a 2 day period. ADOT absolutely did the right thing and for every reason everyone else has already stated. I don't know how many folks both here in town and from the valley haul a$$ around in their 4x4 thinking they are invincible because they have a 4x4. The storm started Wednesday night and our street finally got plowed today. We live on the main road of our neighborhood, but some of the side streets still haven't been plowed. ADOT is not being lazy, they are strapped for resources and trying to save lives.

With the recent snow storm in AZ and polar vortex in the Midwest, can we put the theory of "global warming" to bed? Some years its hotter and drier, some years its colder and wetter. I think the sun and the earth are going to do whatever they feel like, regardless of the "carbon footprint"

I have a GMC Denali 2500HD and I can't find too much to complain about. It rides great and has every creature comfort. Oh wait... the DEF is stupid and did cost me a big chunk of change to fix, a ton of labor and not much in parts. Other than that the truck has been great, we moved over from an Avalanche with a 6" lift but I don't try to push the heck out of it as far as off roading anymore.

It's global BS and a power grab. We're much more in danger from pollution thanks to corrupt 3rd world countries whom still treat the waters and air as their trash conduits. I've been to Asia where you can literally walk across rivers so full of crap and trash you won't get your feet wet. The air so polluted from factories and 2-stroke motors the sun is blocked out and black ooze runs down the interiors of every homes walls. Where public trash cans can't be found because they're stolen fast as they are put out. America is a paradise compared to these foriegn shoot++holes.

try and get a global warming theorist to predict anything in the next 5 years...they won't.....only 80 plus years out after we are all gone.....

I don't like the semantics that is used for this issue. Climate change......obviously been happening since the dinosaurs disappeared and is very legit. Climate change will continue to change regardless of what us humans do. Global warming.......data communicated seems to verify either global warming or global cooling depending on what snapshot of time is used. Kind of like what our politicians do to justify their viewpoints. What is definitely legit in my mind is the catastrophic fires that we have experienced in the last 10 years or more due to the mismanagement of our forests in Arizona, Colorado, California and other western states. Those "abnormal" catastrophic fires without a doubt are caused by humans mismanagement..........many years of Smokey the bear suppressing normal fire occurrences. Without a doubt this issue should cause human created warming impact. Add in all the human impacts from new infrastructure construction of roads, buildings and concrete that go with it........ no doubt that has to have a warming impact on at least the west. But you don't hear anything about these legit impacts ironically.......only the carbon side of it which has become highly politicized. That is why I am skeptical about the whole global warming issue due to the dishonesty particularly by our politicians on the left, and also many left leaning scientists. Semantics and communications about this issue need to change to get me and many others on board with what needs to be done....... or can effectively be done about this issue.

Yeah but 97% of scientists say.... funny how In the northern hemisphere summer they always show pictures of the arctic melting and in the southern hemisphere summer they always show the pictures of the Antarctic ice melting. But they never show it during the climate winter. that, and little things, like the ice roads still freeze and melt at the same time each year.

Glaciers aren't disappearing because it's getting colder. I think it's hard to argue it's actual existence at this point. I think the question should be is it caused by man or part of earths natural cycle. Personally, I believe its a combination of both.

Yes her heart was set on a bow but she wanted to fill the freezer more important. We did a lot of work with her set up and when we drove up on the tracks all of a sudden plans changed from sitting in a blind to slow stalking. We decided grab the rifle and take a stroll. She doesn’t regret it either, sittin a blind for long days to shoot a bull under 50 yards or spot n stalk with a rifle at 80 yards. Good chance we could of got to bow range that day but we were just wanting to fill the freezer with a Good bull
