Wife finally drew a unit 10 early rifle bull tag after 18yrs. If you have had this tag in the last few years and are willing I’d like to hear how the hunt went. Thx

Had the boat for two years no issues only thing I’ve done is the throttle cable was a little sticky had both the throttle and shifter cables replaced by Blake in flagstaff. works perfect now just had it on Alamo last weekend. 90 horse outboard. 55# thrust trolling motor. 3 bank charger works as it should. Trailer tires and the spare replaced last spring. Original owner put a small scratch in one side on a dock or something just cosmetic will add picture. Carpet isn’t perfect but could definitely be worse. Only selling because I just bought a bigger bass boat to have more room for the kids. Any questions reach out. $7,000 or best offer don’t need two boats in my driveway. Located in Williams. We have a place at Roosevelt can tow it down to tonto one weekend for serious buyers and we’ll take it out on the lake. IMG_0725.mov

I just bought it for varmit calling gun but it's too heavy for my liking for a running and gunning calling gun. It Sits at 13 pounds with the can on it. With 40 grn v max bullets it shot a one hole 4 round group at 100 yards. Was around 650$ new ill take $600 or trade for other guns. Located in the verde valley

I have a Stoeger M3500 that needs a new home. Only taken out 3-4 times, has maybe 300 rounds cycled through it. Link to shotgun on Sportsman’s where I bought it from: https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting-gear-gun-supplies/shotguns/stoeger-m3500-realtree-max-7-12-gauge-3-12in-semi-automatic-shotgun-28in/p/1802550?srsltid=AfmBOoqMCiSelRQ4AWQDsVYPJsV2ADOGBH0kRIAShbOoIhC_lxUxrMnN Comes with a sling and all chokes included with initial purchase. Price drop- Asking $550 Its a great shotgun, I just need to downsize inventory and make room for more.

My wife had that hunt back in 2003 so I don't think my knowledge and info is much good. I can tell you she did not kill on the Boquillas ranch and don't overlook that big wide-open country. This was probably the most stressful hunt I have ever been involved with. I scouted much more for this hunt than any other hunt and the pressure people would put on only shooting a 380 type bull was crazy. My advice to you and your wife is to enjoy the hunt and make it enjoyable for her. Congratulations and good luck!

Wanted to share a short video I just put together of our 2024 hunts. Not much to it...5 kills and a couple missed shots. I'm still getting over the miss on that last buck. Missing a buck like that will give a hunter nightmares for the rest of their life. I'm just glad it wasn't me doing the missing for once 😜

Us Arizona outdoors people are very aware of the issues/threat that these invasive non native animals have on our state. Regardless of anyone's political beliefs or where you are from, the truth is the facts. In 3c it is a major growing problem in population which causes issues with feed and water for other wildlife. The fence cutting/vandalism that is going on so these non native species can drink is insane. Especially this year with it being so dry, who should pay for that? The rancher, the hunter/outdoorsman, the state? JMO, end of lack of defensive knowledge

I literally asked you your view in the first response after your post @AmericanGirl and you didnt answer me. However, I think I know the answer based off your silence. I also would imagine that any hunters that stay at your lodge aren't aware of your views on keeping the ROUS's in the forest.

Seems to me you have 100% opportunity to share your views here and now. Let's hear them.

Wow. You guys really give hunters in general a bad name. There are a lot of hunters that stay at the AL who don’t share your sadistic views. Have any of you ever spoken to us? Have you ever asked our stance? No. You listen to one person who again, has 1% of the story. Maybe start thinking for yourselves.

All the feral horses up there and on the Salt plus all the damned donkeys by Pleasant and elsewhere should be shot along with the hippies trying to protect them

If you support feral horses on public land, then you’re not a friend of most wildlife managers and sportsmen. As such, I will never recommend your business to anyone…..and I let them know why. Several hunters/fishermen have already stayed other places once they learn of your skewed feral horse beliefs. I like domestic horses and folks who use them……having said that, I wouldn’t care if feral horses (vermin) died a slow and agonizing death on public lands.

Difference is people like the Arizona wildlife manager in here have decades worth of experience and real world perspective in wildlife management and you people just have your feelings.

Feral horses ain’t wildlife. But they do carry a disease that kills our native bighorn sheep.

As mentioned in the other post. The simple question is do you guys support keeping the overgrown rats in the forest? If so then most likely we all hope your business shuts down regardless of how nice you or your family may be.

The inaccurate messages in this forum are astounding. “Non-typical solutions” you absolutely were not treated like a dirtbag for not wearing a mask. Because the Aspen Lodge never required masks and they have excellent reviews for customer service. Unlike the slanderous person posting this who has never met the owners and doesn’t know anything about them, but yet tries to hurt a family business because they have a different perspective of wildlife. The business does not post slanderous things about you and did you no personal harm. Takes a special kind of person to open up this thread. Why don’t you speak directly to the owners and share? and if you lived in Alpine, you’d know that the AL has nothing to do with building trailer parks or cabins. But you don’t.

Seriously The whole thread is to bash CA attitude and then you exibit the same NIMBYism and anti-capitalist mindset LMAO

So is there any known disease that would infect non vaccinated feral horses that doesn't affect wild life? Just saying

My folks claim my first camp out was at Diamondrock when I was 4 months old and that would have been August of 60! My dad built a summer home in Alpine late 70's! Any time I have a spare minute I spend it somewhere in unit1/27 During the COVID lockdowns Alpine was mysteriously like gestapo mask, the cabin had visitors so I was desperate for a room. We stopped at the Aspen Lodge to try and get a room for the night! Got treated like dirtbag because I didn't have a mask on and they wanted bank for the room one night........we just said forget it and drove back to Snowflake. The development where my dad's place is has had many changes in ownership with properties and we have felt the long hand of Kalifornication within that development! It's like Joe said.....just stay in Kalifornication if you are just gonna bring it here to Az.........but I fear we are too late!!!!

Thank you for starting this tread. As the wildlife manager/ Field Supervisor in Unit 3C for 26 yrs. I saw the end of the horse capturing that the Heber Ranger (Black Mesa) Dist was doing, and the results. It saddens, and angers me to see what these horses have done to the habitat in not only that unit, but also Unit 1. Specifically, the Kettel Holes area. that area has been decimated and all those meadows have been converted from grass land community to noxious weeds. Any business in the white mountains that supports the horses should defiantly be boycotted, especially by hunters, or anyone interested in sound forest management. There is no place on public land for even one feral horse. Besides the habitat issues, thats a lot of high-quality protein on the hoof, that could feed a lot of people!
