Finally had a chance to mount one of my own bucks. Found this guy cruising an oak hillside just after he had gotten out of his bed in the afternoon. Good luck to all that got some CC hits!

Removing the permit seems to fix nothing but possibly not allowing people with disabilities to hunt. Limit tags and it’s a non issue.

I've seen they are claiming it's about housing etc. So why TF are they wanting sell off the entirety of 4a/5a? No one can or wants to live there especially in the winter when you couldn't even get through the snow to your house. I can kind of see if they were selling some forest land around cities to expand them but 80% of the land on the map is in BFE.

I finally drew a sheep tag with 33 points. To give that some perspective: even with 33 points, I still had less than a 5% chance of getting drawn for any of the 'second tier' sheep units. I'm not sure which hunt I drew, but it will be either 41 West or 41 East. Will have to wait until the results are posted to know for sure.

My wife is making these home decor pieces from natural items we pick up in the Arizona desert/mountains. They are an awesome conversation piece and unique to AZ. They are made with cholla or saguaro cactus skeleton, Ponderosa or Pinion pinecones (cut and painted to resemble flowers), Juniper berries, Locust seeds, acorns, bird feathers, local unique stones, etc... Wreaths are decorated with same materials. Also, bearded Gnomes made from pinecone, seated on a base made from Devil's Claw. Just added: Crosses, made from saguaro spine, with decorative cross attached. They would make a great gift for out of state family, or anyone that loves AZ natural beauty. Some have hooks on the back for hanging, which will be noted above the picture along with the length. Prices are in image description. Located near Val Vista & Southern in Mesa. Willing to ship if necessary. Accepting cash, Venmo or Zelle. Can do special orders. Please reply here or IM with inquiries and feedback. Thank you. Note: I did get prior approval from the site admins to make this post. ** PRICE REDUCTIONS ON CHOLLA PIECES and WREATH. A lot of hunters will be in the upper basin glassing the Coconino Rim. I'd be looking on google earth to find some clearings that a road does not run through. If slowly still hunting ridges, squat down and glass under the PJ

Either of those is an exceptional hunt. If it’s in the cards, I would recommend hiring some help. Both of those units can be tricky. What we learned last year was that judging sheep was much tougher than I expected. But man what a journey it was. So many memories. After my son’s hunt last year I thought it would be a lifetime before we got to experience it again. But, somehow lightning struck twice. Someone in the family drew again this year!

I have spent a lot of time in the unit. I had the tag in 2018. Friends of mine have drawn the early archery and early rifle and I helped on both of those hunts as well. I sent you a PM if you want my two cents on the unit.

Most importantly though, why would we make life harder for people who already have a harder life. So compound Bowhunters can hunt whatever unit they want? No thanks. I’d rather a few people abuse the privilege than make life tougher than needed for those who actually have a problem. If that impacts my opportunity, I can live with that.

Because they want it to be done by a specific kind of doctor. But I don’t think this group of people know what doctors could diagnose these kinds of conditions nor do I think the dept wants to be in the middle of lawsuits about requiring people with disabilities to visit doctors they would not need to visit otherwise for a signature for something that has nothing to do with their area of specialty. For instance, someone with a neurological condition may meet all of the other requirements but not be treated by an orthopedic surgeon, because their condition is primarily related to the nervous system. Under this proposal that person would need to visit a specialist who knows nothing about their condition, potentially obtaining a referral to do so (which would require another office visit and associated cost), providing medical history, and then helping them understand the process designated by AZGFD. Seems like an awful lot of burden to heap onto people who already have to deal with a lot just to prevent a few people from maintaining their CHAMP permit because they aren’t disabled enough. This whole thing just wreaks of jealousy and self-preservation.

There’s alot of area in 9. Some places to glass, but not alot. The biggest bulls will be on the thickest ridges where you can only see about 50yds in front of you. The biggest bulls will also be nocturnal for water.

Sounds like Ol' Dry ground Dale needs a couple visits. Disgusting that he is getting away with being a scum bag and posting about his new adventures.
