And as stated - properly regulated for those in need - I’m all in. The current system has allowed the abuse causing this whole issue. Be mad at the abusers and root for it to be cleaned up so you and others that deserve it can have it. Thanks for your service and hard work defending all of us.

When I need it I’ll mentor archery hunts for those that need it to get my fix and rifle hunt for meat. If I get 50-60 years in archery hunting with a bow, I’ll call it a win and pass it on before I pick up the above mentioned. That’s just me though. The other things you mentioned, to me, are essential - archery hunting is not. just an opinion

Sorry to hurt your feeling. Not really. Low budget mentors are needed. You are Savage. I hope you get your 50yrs, some of us didn't and didn't abuse the old system. Yet still we get painted by others as cheaters, cowards, ect. Some of us went into the military as able bodied and are now unable to pull and hold a bow. Thank you for your future low budget mentorship.

I have seen a few shoot off the end. Its actually how you remove a Surefire carbon locked can. Turn the collar and shoot it off into a berm. The reason I choose SilencerCo, Diligent Defense and Otter Creek Labs over other companies is for their customer service and warranty. Personal experience and customer experiences tell me they are the best. Others warranty their cans, but my experience with them have not been great..

You mean if you can’t shoot a bow, you won’t be able to archery hunt? What a crazy world.

Seen any good deals on the Mini's anywhere? All I have heard is good things for the few I know that have one.

I have the regular starlink and love it in camp. Been contemplating on switching to a mini but wish the speeds were the same as the full size. I keep hoping they will correct that then i will jump over

Not mini but I use Starlink roam at the campsite. Love it

If you could read - I was speaking about mentoring for archery hunts when I couldn’t shoot a bow anymore vs using air or whatever you use and obviously can’t have a difference of opinion or discussion- you have to be a girl and pull hair. - you go girl - good one.

The other things you mentioned, to me, are essential in life- archery hunting is not. just an opinion and no problem with crossbows properly regulated and those that actually need it. My experience with those in the field now are similar to those getting out of lifted trucks in handicapped spot walking into Home Depot. tighten it up, get rid of air, get rid of any old Dr signature and make it year by year and I’ll support it because you sure can’t rely on morals. All about those horns.

Just go deer hunting, plain and simple. Make sure the gun is on and go.

Removing the permit seems to fix nothing but possibly not allowing people with disabilities to hunt. Limit tags and it’s a non issue.

This is in reference to CHAMP permits, not crossbow permits. That being said… I don’t think anyone has presented any actual data on fraudulent crossbow use. If they have, I would be interested to see how that info was gathered.

I've been getting some numbness and twinges in what I thought was my hip. I made an appointment with OrthoAZ and saw an Orthopedic Surgeon in two weeks. People living in more remote area outside of Metro Phoenix may have a longer wait.

Most importantly though, why would we make life harder for people who already have a harder life. So compound Bowhunters can hunt whatever unit they want? No thanks. I’d rather a few people abuse the privilege than make life tougher than needed for those who actually have a problem. If that impacts my opportunity, I can live with that.

Agreed. Also a lot of specialists are 8-16 months out to get an appointment. If someone draws an archery deer tag and has 6 weeks to opener and has to get in with a specialist for a permit it’s going to create a mess.

Because they want it to be done by a specific kind of doctor. But I don’t think this group of people know what doctors could diagnose these kinds of conditions nor do I think the dept wants to be in the middle of lawsuits about requiring people with disabilities to visit doctors they would not need to visit otherwise for a signature for something that has nothing to do with their area of specialty. For instance, someone with a neurological condition may meet all of the other requirements but not be treated by an orthopedic surgeon, because their condition is primarily related to the nervous system. Under this proposal that person would need to visit a specialist who knows nothing about their condition, potentially obtaining a referral to do so (which would require another office visit and associated cost), providing medical history, and then helping them understand the process designated by AZGFD. Seems like an awful lot of burden to heap onto people who already have to deal with a lot just to prevent a few people from maintaining their CHAMP permit because they aren’t disabled enough. This whole thing just wreaks of jealousy and self-preservation.

    I'm not sure that's a bad thing.

How is it that everyone knows someone that is committing fraud, but nobody is reporting them to Game Thief? Instead, many are pushing to take away something from everyone, people who have not committed fraud.
