Unit 29 in 91 or 92. The year before I met a guy and his son on the trail who said he saw one and told some people about who didn't believe him. This was in Horseshoe by Mexican Camp.

Depending on your tow rig, available COVERED boat storage space, I recommend no less than an 18' boat. Wide beam is a plus. The lakes mentioned get rough at times. A wider, longer boat is a much more stable platform. Substantial horsepower is always a plus. Buying a used boat is the way to go. Likely, a used boat will have electronics, trolling motor, canopy, SS prop(s) anchors, ropes, etc. Pricey items that are often included in a used boat sale. Be patient and you'll find a great boat in the used market. New boat pricing is great motivation to buy used.

I had that size tracker with a 40hp. I would not consider anything less than that and would prefer the 50hp. You will get beat up and swamped by pleasure boaters or a windy day in that sized boat. If you want something more comfort oriented, then the tacker Deep V series might be better.

This! Let someone else take the depreciation hit and loss. New boat prices are criminal. Theres tons of Trackers for sale that are garage queens, people buy them and then never use them. Take your time and you'll find a deal... I bought a 5 year old Tracker that had been totaled by the guy's insurance for cosmetic damage in a storm, saved 10Koff KB, and I'm still running the piss out of it 15 years later. Ugly as sin, but runs like a champ. Plus 1 for the larger motor too, if you ever want to fish Lee's Ferry, you'll want and need the extra go.

John Millican said it is the best unit in the state for Goulds. He also said that 35B was the hardest. Guess which I had.

My brother has the first hunt. Ill let you know how it goes but it sounds like its harder not to kill one of them than to kill one.
