Early dinner tonight. New York strip cooked in cast iron with ghee, whole garlic gloves and sprigs of fresh rosemary. Fat end cap cooked first to render, with rest on hot cast iron to build crust, basted throughout. Asparagus then quickly flashed in cast iron with all the flavors. Made a worcheshire mushroom reduction sauce over steak!

My husband's grandpa move into a smaller house and has way too much stuff. Free for whoever wants it. Everything should work. The table saw is rusty on the top but I think will clean up nicely. Located in San Tan Valley. Wanted to put it on here first. Brittani

I went scouting about 4 years ago on labor day weekend and didn't see anyone for 4 days. We were camped about 15 miles south of quartzite, scouting for sheep on the YPG.🥵

Last week, I figured I didn't get drawn so after a few days I decided to check my credit card. There was a hit for $300. I literally sat there for a few minutes in disbelief....oh...oh....as I frantically search for the regs to check pricing to confirm. Sure enough its a sheep tag. Then all the talk about cc hits being taken away, add that which unit I got. I didn't dwell on it too much(as if I couldn't), started to tell some people that I may have a sheep tag. I just logged on my portal, sure enough. My first choice was 45c, Kofa National Wildlife refuge. I have tag #4 for the December hunt. I have always assumed it would take forever to get drawn, for the first 10 years or so I probably put in for 22 and 24b, until I realized that was never going to happen in my lifetime. So I would listen to various podcasts and randomly put in for units. This year I put in for Kofa due to the tag number, I figured it would help my odds. I had 19 bonus points. But still thought it wouldn't happen till I had 25-30 bonus points. I am at a loss of words, I am very excited but already feel overwhelmed and unprepared. My first thought was to post here to start getting some feedback. I'll go get some maps this week. I did a search on hike az for hikes, there actually doesn't seem to be too many hikes. At least at first searching. So...How should I prepare? I feel like I have a good base of equipment, I have been hunting coues deer for most of my adult life. So I have 15 binos, 10 binos, but no spotting scope. Should I look for one? I have a good hunting backpack. I'll increase my exercising, good benefit of this is I need to lose 20 plus pounds. Very soon i'll need to actually start to head to the unit and see it. I read somewhere where someone said to contact the Bighorn society. I will take all the advice and help I can. I don't want to make anyone hate me....but my wife got drawn for late bull in 3C this year. Our plan is to give it to my 13 year old. That hunt runs from 12-1 to 12-7, then my sheep hunt from 12-8 to 12-31. Hopefully work understands! Added a picture of my boys deer I am getting very excited!

Any one interested in a Rocky Mountain Range/Powder River camp stove ? This stove is built like a tank , lightly used and come with accessories (griddle, bbq top, burner covers) $100 This stove will need to be picked up in Flagstaff or meet up somewhere sometime . I don’t think shipping is an economical option . text - 928-606-61zero1

The deal was, that we needed to go to Yuma for a class in order to have access to YPG. So we figured we get some scouting in too. About two weeks later they changed things to online. The other guys went that route.

Collards, sausage, smoked turkey, onion, garlic, ham hocks, black-eyed peas. Forgot to buy chicken stock. 4-6 hours to prepare and another 3-5 to cook but.I will get 4-5 meals out of it and it gets better everytime I reheat it.

Be happy for these times of high temps. It's the only thing keeping millions more people from moving to our once great state. As a native, I will take extreme heat any day over the extreme cold.

Had a good trip, fished a half day out of Aransas Pass. Got a few reds and some trash fish. I couldn’t believe the amount of shark fishermen on Padre Island.

Just fished Lees Ferry June 30 and July 1. The water was extremely murky probably due to the run off. I could only see about six feet down. The flow was high around 18-20K. I fly fished mostly. Very lttle dry fly activity, I only caught three on dries on the back eddy at four mile. No cicadas were seen nor heard. The usual areas to wade were under five to six feet of water. I nymphed using an orange SJ worm and a green scud. I caught most on my fish on a weighted green wolly bugger using a full sinking line getting the hits on the swing. I also caght a few fish on dry/dropper, big dry with 2 feet of 5x holding a SJ worm in the few riffles that were available. Not one fish rose to the dry. The weather was nice with little wind but it got hot in the afternoon. I wore waders in the AM then after lunch I was down to long pants and sandals. My boat ran well and my new prop remained unscathed. Most of the guides had their clients fishing off the boat. I only saw three guide boats out on Saturday

As already said, you need to go to a bow shop, and they can help you. Once you find your correct draw length, reach out and see if anyone has a newer (5 years or less) bow they want to sell with the same draw length. I have been shooting a bow since 1978 and I always tell everyone to bargain hunt for their first bow because you never know if you will stick with it. If you like it and want to continue, then shop for better stuff. Bows depreciate faster than a new car, so it is possible to get fairly new equipment at a real bargain. Just like a new golfer, I would recommend paying for a couple private lessons too. This cuts the learning curve way down and prevents you from developing any bad habits. check out Bowsite.com classifieds. Good Luck and welcome to the brotherhood!
