6 pointsMy son and I played cat and mouse with a Tom opening weekend but four times in 3 hours he wouldn't commit and we never got a glimpse of him. I named him Mr No. We tried again this morning for almost 6 hours and walked almost 3 miles but never crossed him. When we set camp yesterday we found this little guy. My son took ho 4 Runner and I took my F-250, stopped in Strawberry for some empanadas and had camp setup by about 4pm after the 100 mile drive from Mesa. About 6:30 the two of us were sitting around when we heard a sound almost like a cat screech. I looked in the direction of it and saw movement through the trees about 100 yards down a little two track. I told my son I see something white moving and heard what sounded like a kid. Sure enough now I see a girl running towards us yelling. Help Me, Help Me, I'm Lost. She was about 8-9 years old crying in full panic mode. She was wearing a pair of shorts, tank top undershirt and a hoodie wrapped around her waist. We told her she was safe and asked her how long she has been lost, two or three hours she said. I asked her if she was cold and she replied no. I had her sit down and asked he if she wanted a bottle of water. She said yes and started to calm down. I asked her if she knew how far from the main road, 87 she was and being a child really didn't know. She said her family had a white truck with a black camper. We were about a 10 minutes south of Clints Well and maybe a 1/4 mile in off the main road. Quick thinking on my son part he asks her if she knows her Mom's phones number. Well she did and my son called the number and after a few rings it went to voicemail. We gave her the phone and she left a message and my son and I added to it. Now we can hear a slow whoop whoop coming from what sounded like an ambulance or police car driving slow on 87. I told her to get into my sons truck and told him when you get to 87 call 911. They leave and a few minutes later her mother calls him. He says he isn't sure of the exact road he is on but will send her a pin. As he gets to 87 a Sheriff drives past and sees him then hangs a U Turn. He talks to my son looks at his ID and leaves with the child. Seems the girl had an argument with an older sister and ran off getting very lost. It was her lucky day and her mother got an early Mothers Day present. We broke camp and came back today as he needs to go to NM for work all week and spend some time with his mother tomorrow. His head is in the clouds after helping that little girl. We had a pack of yotes yipping and carrying on for almost two hours just after dark last night about 200 yards away. No place for a child for sure. https://reptilesofaz.org/lizards-subpages/h-p-multivirgatus/

4 pointsPlease watch this from start to finish. I am sure you guys will help forward this issue and bring it the attention it deserves. IMHO they are trying to compromise (Horribly) and if thats the case the only resolve is to remove suppressors from the NFA (they dont belong there) end the tax stamp completely, but have us go through a background check just like a firearm to help keep the criminals from obtaining them. What do you guys think about my opinion and the Jarred ?

4 pointsProbably worthwhile. Those rams aren’t getting harvested anyway. Not sure how many are around, but if you have time or money to hire someone with time it would be an effective way to check off a big ten or slam species.

2 pointsWell Casey as a father I can think you can relate to staying calm and focusing on the facts at hand and the art of dissuasion. We asked a few questions and let her vent and settle down. Sure she wanted to get back but probably realized she shouldn't have ran off so no need to bring that up, kinda one of the many elephants in the room so to speak. She was probably with us for at most 10 minutes before I had my son pack her up. He's a gentle giant and kids just naturally take to him. It did them both some good.

2 pointsWhat would be the most crucial moment of survival in you and your families life is gonna come down to an unchambered shotgun loaded with rock salt, some unholy buttless hip shooting shotgun , and a judge. Jesus Christ people.

1 pointWow! Thank God for timing and putting you in the right place. Life lesson for that little girl. Good on you guys. Cool lizard...maybe I should have said that first 😀 I had similar luck with turkeys the first week...in 5a, off 141. Seemed like every tom I setup on had hens and would not come in. I didn't have much trouble finding gobblers. I'm considering going back up for another try, but not sure.

1 pointCrossbow permits were good until Jan 2026, so all the Fall hunts were covered. I agree that they are probably going to do the same thing anyway. I did think it's funny that Commissioner Buchanan referred to the Pope and Young definition of archery equipment. He did miss the part of electronic equipment on bows. Electronic or battery-powered devices shall not be attached to a hunting bow, with the exception of recording devices that cast no light towards the target and do not aid in rangefinding, sighting or shooting the bow. So if we are against technology, and following the rules of Pope and Young, By the use of electronic devices for attracting, locating or pursuing game or guiding the hunter to such game, or by the use of a bow or arrow to which any electronic device is attached with the exception of lighted nocks and recording devices that cast no light towards the target and do not aid in rangefinding, sighting or shooting the bow. Garmin sights, illuminatedsights, radios and Onx are used, ban them too?

1 pointEach end of season, the owners of Vulture City put on a banquet to thank their employees and volunteers for the towns growing success. The owners pick a deserving member to receive a gift of my choosing, made in the Vulture City Forge. There's only a few employees and maybe 40 volunteers. It's not difficult to figure out something they might like. I make my blades, axes and other items in pairs. There's always something to beat on and something in the fire. Should there be a major mistake made, I have a backup. 🫣 This years pick is a western reenactment entertainer whom sports what looks like a Pakistani made knife. His gift is a 15" Bowie knife made from an old sawblade (1040)? Elk horn scales found in GMU 9. I counter sunk the pins and filled the cavity with a pinch of 21kt Arizona placer gold for a different looking mosaic. At the last minute, the wife said I should do a grape vine.on the knifes spine. The smaller knife is a gift for my daughter on Mother's Day.

1 pointI've got low grade alfalfa for $180 a ton currently, no mold, just went to full bloom and a little grass in the bales from end of last season. Might be tricky to find at your $5 price point.

1 pointI have been using BFG ATs for many many years. They are still my go to tire. I don't love the mileage I am getting out of this set in my Ram 3500, but it is a heavy truck and I will still get 35k. The last set in this truck went 43k with some tread left. On a Tundra it would be better. The only place the BFG struggles is in Mud. I had Open Country AT2s on my last HD Ram, and the BFGs were better for sure all around. Especially ice and snow. The set that got 43k were 315x70x17 e rated. This set is 35x12.5x17 E Rated.

1 pointEvery spring I start looking by running fence lines. Usually pull a couple decent singles that way, then end up hiking all over looking for the matches. Lucked into these after a short walk this morning. Pictures really don’t do justice. Quick tape totaled up to 180 5/8.
