My 2024 Bull. I waited 13 years for this tag. I shot this bull solo a few days into the Hunt. I’m very thankful I had some luck come my way during the whole Hunt. I really hope I don’t have to wait another 13 years for a tag. Cheer and happy Hunting.

I have a Stoeger M3500 that needs a new home. Only taken out 3-4 times, has maybe 300 rounds cycled through it. Link to shotgun on Sportsman’s where I bought it from: https://www.sportsmans.com/shooting-gear-gun-supplies/shotguns/stoeger-m3500-realtree-max-7-12-gauge-3-12in-semi-automatic-shotgun-28in/p/1802550?srsltid=AfmBOoqMCiSelRQ4AWQDsVYPJsV2ADOGBH0kRIAShbOoIhC_lxUxrMnN Comes with a sling and all chokes included with initial purchase. Price drop- Asking $550 Its a great shotgun, I just need to downsize inventory and make room for more.

Since I was recently in Estes Park, Colorado for an art show, a few days before and after the show were spent in Rocky Mountain National Park photographing the rutting elk. Sometimes the elk cooperated and were close, and other times the bulls and their harems were too far away in the middle of Moraine Park. The Nikon 200-500mm f/5.6 adapted to the Fuji GFX 100s was used. Many of the images suffered from often having to use a high ISO of 6400, but the Denoise in ACR did a reasonable job on mitigation. More images may be seen on the website. https://www.plateaulightphotography.com/New-Work/Rocky-Mountain-National-Park

I was able to fill my archery bull tag this year with a dandy. I was lucky enough to put an arrow through this mature bull at 37 yards. I got a complete pass through, with a 125 gr tooth of the arrow broadhead. It’s incredible how tough these things are. At first he didn’t know he had been hit. After a few seconds we walked up a hill, and looked around for a few seconds. He got wobbly legs, and piled over face first. He got up and did a 391 yard death run, breaking trees in half the entire way. I’ve been after a bull of this caliber for a long time. Very fun hunt.

Thanks guys. Like everything the brass has tripled in price, and in most cases are non existent. I have read that you can make brass from 375 H&H brass, unfortunately a fair amount of work and equipment needed to do it though. I may just bite the bullet so to speak and pay $130 plus tax, plus shipping to get 20 pieces of brass if its available. I will call tomorrow. I am still holding out that possibly someone has a couple of boxes of loaded Kynoch 350 ammo. I thought I would not find any .333 Jeffery ammo but managed to find 4 boxes.

Well I will give it a try. It’s an inexpensive attempt at worst. I appreciate your willingness to help out. This forum never disappoints…most of the time lol

Good news I have all three brands of shell holders and measured height. Lee and Redding are both .248" and RCBS is .244" so you should be able to acheive an additional .004" bump by buying the RCBS. You measure the flat that sits on top of the ram to the flat on top of the shellholder. Do not measure from the bottom of the groove that fits into the ram. Hope that helps.

Great Caliber. I recently gave my nephew a pristine Ruger #1 in this caliber, as I don't get out shooting much anymore. I don't think that had 5 rounds through it. Kind of regret giving it away, but he will use it. GLWS

Check out Darling Leather and Fur. I have been watching her videos on facebook for awhile now as I save up bobcat pelts to make a jacket for the wife. https://darlingleatherandfur.com/?srsltid=AfmBOorQn5Y2we11NOAGsaX184lUyzz9ClB89fSw63vDhrdEJjLG07yz

I've been hunting 6b for the past week and finally was able to connect on a cow elk last night at sundown sitting water. She came in broadside at 47 yards and i let it fly. I followed the blood as far as I could follow then it stopped. Came back this morning for recovery and found her. Wish I saw her earlier because I think it may have been too long and now the meat is spoiled. But a great journey and happy to record this as a first elk and archery kill. Thank you to everyone who gave me advice to make this happen over the last few months.

It was a very fun hunt. My kids both killed they had 10 days to hunt and passed many bucks and finally decided to shoot on day 8 and day 9. Saw a couple giants but shooting lanes were a problem.
