Man what a blessed week! To have the opportunity to go to desert. Have you guys seen the desert lately? So beautiful! Beautiful weather! And to have the ability to harvest a beautiful buck, man I'm...I have no words, I'm just so thankful! Then I go to one of the metro units and took a javalina with my bow! Wow! Happy Birthday to me I guess! Thank you Lord for the opportunity and the ability!

I love my tascos, the foginess helps me kill smaller animals which are so much more tender.

Paying for a guided hunt. Guide has no tripod, and uses tasco 10x32s, handheld.

Watched the video. Interesting that the hunters came up with a new plan for day 2 to spread out more over the area the birds were moving through. Shouldn't the "guides" have come up with this plan before the hunters showed up, especially if not using decoys or blinds? Definitely did not see much service for the money. A morning of scouting could have gotten you everything the guides did for you on the first 2 days. Definitely a bumber situation.

I think we underestimate the cranes vision. Birds are smart, they see soooo much better than we think. Any odd colors, movement, etc will throw them off, even at hundreds of yards away.

Well the hunter didn't get the idea it would include lodging, dinner, blinds and decoys on his own... regardless of some fine print stating discretion of the outfitter on all points. 350 bucks to be just dropped off and strung out like dove hunting, no amenities, no real effort for the outfitter beyond gas money... is BS. Thanks, I was told there are no cameras at that range. After hearing more of the story, a person there at the same time might have some info on what happened with the gun. He drove a silver/gray Mustang or Camaro with a loud exhaust. Mid 30’s white male with brown beard. I’m not saying this guy took the gun just that there were 2 other shooters there at the time and he left shortly after the gun was left in the parking lot. Also between the time my friend drove back and after the mustang left the range a white beat up ford drove in shot a couple times and left. All within 15 minutes. The police department classifies the gun on the police report as stolen. I guess if the person who picked the gun up doesn’t make a good faith effort on returning the gun it is classified as stolen, not lost

This is a nice looking Stevens 20 ga sxs. It has one set of 28" barrel which I think are Full & Mod. It has a second set of 24" barrels with 410 inserts. So, you can shoot 20ga or 410. The 24" barrels are choked IC. Located south Tempe area $800

Cranes can see better than a turkey or coues deer any day.

Not much to say about this hunt. We found him 500-600 yards out. Waited for him to bed. Snuck up to 180. He stood up and my father in law knocked him back down again. Tagged out and back to the truck by noon. Here’s a hot take for ya tagging out on opening morning is overrated.

The cranes he has on video are about 70-90 yards high. They can be killed at that distance if they’re straight above you, but there’s no way in heck they would ever fly over anyone that was hiding as poorly as he was.

Deer are really scattered here too. Can hardly even find a track on water

TASCO World Class and Simmons were the goto in the 80's. At least Tasco held up to recoil. Once I knew better I moved onto Leupold and Schmidt & Bender in the 90's.

Totally different from a gun. Sucks to loose stuff for sure but a firearm is a different ballgame.

Saw more coues deer today. In 24a then I've even seen in 1 day in my life time. At least 40 plus does and 9 bucks . I giant one with 4 does. Then a spike and a nice size forky. Then two small 3 points. And a smaller 3 point with two dang nice 4x4 and those two were fight and chasing each other . No does where with or near them. They fought pretty hard for about 10 minutes. Then went up over a ridge. Also saw about 30 coatimundai. And my nephew stuck one at 47 yards. Pretty dang good shoot for a 12 year old. I didn't have a camera today with me. Going to take one tomorrow and Saturday. Taking my 6.5 creadmore tomorrow. NO MORE CROSSBOW. I bought this yesterday.
