Great Danes in general, have a fairly significantly shorter life span than the average dog.

Quite a few spikes and 2 points online. Some nice bucks also. Cannot confirm road hunting. As far as a race to kill, I gotta think dudes shot bucks in some of those units that are open august and December that they wouldn’t have if there wasn’t a risk of it closing. Or in 1, it closed in 3-4 days, not much holding out can be done. Also, fb fishing and hunting groups make want not live on the planet anymore.

Wait, more deer were killed in the units with good deer populations and nicer weather? I’m shocked. Plus a spike Muley has more meat than a mature coues…

He's coming over to my place in north Phoenix this weekend to be fostered, stop by if you guys want to meet the dog and put in an app to adopt. I'll be happy to arrange meet n greets with the pup

Reason northern units are filling or filled, is the 1000’s of people heading north. Just drove down from Heber to the valley this afternoon( don’t ask why) traffic backed up 5 miles going into Payson. Saw about 4 trucks pulled off the 87 south of Payson. Hunt in 80 or below vs 95 plus? No brainer. I’d love to set a deer mannequin off the 300 road next weekend and watch

No one wants to have a fire in August? 🤣

Nope, that would be the stereotypical speculation. I think the same amount of deer have been getting killed for years. I guess it's a little shocking to see actual numbers, but not surprising to me. As far as spikes and forks getting killed off the road. Nothing new imo, small muleys almost always give you shot from the road, same as cow elk or spike elk for that matter. Dec/ Jan will almost for sure have more people concentrated in the open units. Adapt quick because I have a feeling this quota system will not make it 10 years before it is draw only.

I have been going there for years and it will make for some cool pictures . Their free range it self is insane and their high fences are like Jurassic park.

Would anyone speculate otherwise? I don't look forward to hearing about pressure in the units still open in December/January.

If it falls through let me know. If the warden says it’s ok I am interested

doesn’t look like many desert muleys are getting killed. Apparently 24a

FIFY. I'm mostly kidding and I agree with the rest of your post. That said and to further agree, the harvest in one week between species with consideration to the population of each, makes me wonder if young mule deer have been more subject to advancing archery equipment and OTC hunters than the standard explanation of drought, habitat fragmentation, cattle, etc. Just a wonder.

E-tags or not, poachers are gonna poach. Pretty sure that E-tags will have ZERO impact on dudes who double dip (or more) in any given year.

Check out Final Rise vests. Like the Filson, they will be expensive, but probably the last vest you'll buy.

This is a 1969 kit companion travel trailer. I've owned it for the past 12 years. I upgraded to bigger tires and wheels. Has a 20 gallon fresh water tank with electric pump for sink. The couch in the back that folds to a bed, kitchen table folds down to a bed. Has 12v and 110 lights and wall outlet. There is a flameless propane safe heater. It weighs less than 2000 pounds, house is 12'5" and its 7' wide. Comes with canvas awning that Is the entire length of the trailer. Holds one 5 gallon propane on the front. This trailer does not have a bathroom or fridge. Everything works including the 3 burners stove and oven. Newly installed seamless vinyl flooring. No leaks. The trailer's located in Page Arizona, but I can deliver to Flagstaff. I'm asking $5000. Tile in hand. Free to call or text me anytime 928-660-2269 - Preston

Man being a 90% archery guy and a drywall contractor for years in the past my shoulders are already toast. I hate the thought of giving up on archery altogether and having to gun hunt and have reduced potential at trophy animals, as if giving up on bowhunting wasn't insulting enough already. I definitely understand why guys get pissed if they see it abused but I do believe it's there for a reason. I think a fair solution would be to make it mandatory to get the approval by a doctor that game and fish authorizes in each major city. And of course you must provide any documentation and records from pcp. This would at least help eliminate the buddy doctor hookup. But to take archery away from die hard archery guys... Fuk that!

A lot of people on here who apparently have never made a big mistake. Ive certainly made bigger mistakes in life then accidentally shooting a buck out of season. Sounds like the guy has remorse and owned up to his mistake, and had the integrity to turn himself in when nobody was forcing him to. And I’d assume he won’t let it happen again.what more do you want from the guy? yes, big mistake. Yes, should NOT have happened. Yes, it’s his fault not gohunt. But it did happen and it sounds to me like he handled it the best way possible given the crappy position he put himself in. Heck, sounds like the kind of person we need more of in our society instead of all the entitled whiny people with an excuse for everything.

I just lost the best dog I ever had over the weekend to a brain tumor. It happened so fast. Sat @ 6:00am, he was fine. By 6:00pm, he could not walk. By 7:00pm on Sunday, we put him down after 13.5 years. He was 14.5 years old. He left a huge impact, and now a huge hole in my life.
