My 17 year old daughter got her first big game kill opening morning in unit 7. So proud of her! She did everything right, well composed, and a well placed single lethal shot. I feel a little guilty bragging on her when I know so many have been putting in for longer than she has been on this earth, but still grateful for her first, of hopefully several, hunting adventures. After today I think she has caught the fever!

My buddy had his hunt messed up last year in unit 1. He was stalking a bull and had some local kids slamming there doors, yelling etc from another ridge. They are lucky my buddy didn't catch up to them. That being said intentionally messing up a hunt is wrong. I have a turkey tag this weekend for myself but the kids are coming along with thier 22's to shoot squirrels. Will I be messing someone's hunt up? Or will they be messing up our squirrel hunt? Go hunt, get further away if you dont want to run into people. Guys including myself will coyote hunt during other hunts.

Thats a good price on the Bergara. I read the last review for this rifle and I had poor luck with the Hornady ammo as well. Federal ammo was much better. The barnes ammo is also excellent.

It’s acceptable to gather intel from archery hunters. Unacceptable Once you are afield affecting feeding/moving patterns. if I were an archer and a rifle hunter showed up scouting and blew up my hunt I would stay an extra few days and help him on his hunt. Invited or not. We’re buds now. Not being petty very objective driven.

When is prime time on a tank?

Excellent, have a youth hunt there starting next Friday. Hoping they will still be talking and moving.
