I have a Ruger M77 that was fitted with a custom barrel and other upgrades by David Van Horn. It is a 25 Van Horn Express, a 264 Win Mag necked down to 25 caliber with an improved shoulder. I had this gun built back in 2007 and have taken several deer and one antelope with it, out to 500 yards. At just over 9 pounds I can no longer lug this thing around and bought a Kimber Hunter which comes in about 5.5 pounds. Everything in the attached pictures is included in this price. Reloading dies, a bag of 50 unopened brass, 200 rounds of used brass, primers and bullets and about 15 loaded rounds, Also a pound of IMR 7828 powder. It probably has around six to seven hundred rounds down the tube. Between fire forming and working up loads most of that has been at the range. I have always been careful to let the barrel cool down between shots so as not to burn out the barrel. I believe this gun still has a lot of life left.

$15k for 500"+ bull. I promise you, the Governor's Tag holders pay WAY more than this. I imagine some of those tag holders have as easy of a time as these hunts. I have heard stories from some guides. Fly the guy in, drive him to the shooting position, he takes the shot, they drive him back to the airport, and he gets his deer delivered to him. Not all of them! Probably not even many of them. But it does happen. And having 15-20 guys watching an animal 24/7 for weeks prior, might as well be a high fence hunt. I wish I could afford to do it though.

Thats awesome. My next door neighbor growing up was a P38 Lighting Fighter Pilot in WWII, he is still with us. My other neighbor was a USA Infantry in Europe. Dad drove an ambulance in Northern Italy and his brother in law was a FWD A artillery observer for the USMC starting out at Guadalcanal. Dads other brother in law got shot down over Germany flying B-24's. taken as POW. My Grandmother's Cousin was a field surgeon in the Hedge Rows and taken POW, that was early in the EURO campaign. My God Father was in flight training when the war ended and his older brother was a P-47 pilot in Europe. One of Dad's law partners had one leg the other was crushed under the treads of a Japanese Tank. I might have forgotten a few others but one thing stands out, for the most part all very great guys. BTW I ended up flying Navy Anti Submarine in the Cold War and my son went Army Sniper at tail end of the Gulf Wars. Most of the guys I served with had similar backgrounds and most had son's that served.

I agree. The man's presentation was matter of fact without added drama. Personally, I found it riveting and could not stop watching even though it was late. The entire presentation is top notch and I encourage anyone to listen to it. The most profound part for me was @ 40:20 through 42:40.

My top two target bucks are 8-10 inches smaller this year compared to last. It could be due to age but I think it has more to do with moisture. 8 inches on a coues deer is nuts.

Spent all summer scouting turning up a lot of good bucks. Went up for the hunt and was able to take this heavy buck opening morning. Big thanks to everyone who came up to scout and help out on the hunt

the Good thing about them hiking/wearing cowboy boots is you know their feet won’t be ready for the 2nd day of hiking.

If they choose to not go to work they are definitely not essential and they should be fired! There are lots of people who MUST go to work everyday, who are put in danger. Not all teachers, but a majority are showing their true left colors. It's pathetic!!!!!

It's always nice to have help. I've done an Elk, Mule Deer and two Coues alone and wished I would have had some company.

That is going to be one expensive elk when the rancher releases him for a shooter. Behemoth elk. I don't care if he is farm raised and hand fed. He is impressive. That breeder is good at his job.

Incredible. This is exactly why I leave the real hunting to men like you.

You haven’t seen much out rage for a couple of reasons for me I thought he was convicted a year ago and there’s kind of a lot of big deals going on in the news right now in my opinion a guide getting convicted of poaching is like a hooker getting convicted of prostitution. I don’t think you can even claim to be a big-time outfitter without a couple of poaching convictions Hunting was meant to be a fun activity to go on you own and enjoy. It’s been completely perverted to the part where is long as you have a couple bucks you can go get a picture next to a dead animal. like any industry you mix in money and Measure success in inches there’s gonna be corruption

Please add Kennedy and NYAZhunter to this list. A pleasure doing business with both of them.
