3 pointsI got a 2001 Chevy Silverado 4x4 with 5.3L - automatic- 166K miles- other than ball joints never left me stranded. She is not pretty - road hard but always maintained - decent tires - needs nothing - I would drive it to LA tonight. Just sitting on side yard - again she not pretty multiple dents, paint faded and interior rough (seat covers covering it) - motor and tranny strong - looking to get just above your low price range - been debating putting it for sale- it was my first new truck I bought in 2001 - but never drive her anymore with a new truck and SXS. Last 8 years was justing a hunting truck (licensed and insured passed emissions)

2 pointsPut a dent in the fish pile this week. Amazing to say the least. Also had some leftover fish last night but no pics, fish tacos. Old school fish and chips and nigiri / sashimi

2 pointsPre bailout 5.3 Vortec…. awesome engines, cheap parts, easy to fix. Should get another 100,000 out of that if it was well maintained.

1 pointAfter a couple of elk and mule deer, my son decided to chase white tails this year. We put away our glasses and still hunted a creek bottom. We got really close to a lot of deer in a pretty short amount of time. We caught this guy snacking on acorns with a couple of other smallish bucks. He was hiding behind a tree, and I could barely see antlers poking out. When the other deer decided to bolt, I told my son to get ready and shoot as soon as he stepped out. Well, after about a minute of peeking around the tree at us, he got nervous and decided to make a run for it. My son took a heart shot at 40 yards, and blew his heart right out of the other side of the deer. It was a short track job.

1 pointOur friends from Texas traveled here last week for their 11 year old daughters first elk hunt in 3A/3C. Opening morning was the type of experience you hope a first time elk hunter gets to be a part of. Multiple bulls screaming leading you into a herd. Unfortunately, the fog rolled in so thick that we could not ever get a good opportunity but knew where they bedded. That afternoon we hiked down a ridge that allowed us to look south into the canyon they were in. Not 30 minutes in and the bull had them up and moving giving Isla a 294 yard shot with her 6.5 creedmore. One well placed shot through the shoulder and she had her first elk. Man these youth hunts are so fun to help on!

1 pointI like red snapper and gold spot better than the grouper, which I love. And yellowtail. Throw in a mako filet …. I guess I just like fish. The OP is much more creative and dedicated to the presentation than I am. I felt good about perfecting air fried fillets …..what is nigiri? Raw fish still?

1 pointGAME AND FISH NEWS Oct. 27, 2020 Final reminder: Thursday is last day to update credit card information for 2021 spring hunts Applicants also can purchase PointGuard to protect bonus points PHOENIX — Time is running out for hunters who applied for 2021 spring hunt permit-tags to update their credit card or debit card account information, as well as purchase PointGuard to protect their bonus points. The deadline is 11:59 p.m. (Arizona time) Thursday, Oct. 29. The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) encourages applicants to keep their credit card and debit card account information current. If payment is declined at the time of the draw, the application will not be drawn. The department no longer calls applicants to obtain payment on drawn applications where credit cards or debit cards have failed. Applicants who have been issued a new credit card or debit card, a new expiration date, or had a change to their card’s number should visit https://draw.azgfd.com/Payment/Update. The last name and order number on the applicant’s draw receipt (sent by email after submission of the application) are required to update the credit card or debit card on file. For applicants who can’t locate their draw receipt, or might have deleted it from their email account, AZGFD is available to update card information by calling (602) 942-3000, option “5,” from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Note: It is important to update payment information for each species for which an application has been submitted. Also, if a credit card or debit card has been used for multiple applications, the applicant is responsible for notifying the appropriate banking institution that multiple charges could be processed simultaneously from AZGFD. Meanwhile, applicants can purchase PointGuard as part of their application through 11:59 p.m. (Arizona time) Thursday, Oct. 29. A free AZGFD portal account is no longer required to purchase PointGuard. A portal account is still needed for those hunters wishing to view their draw results, however. Visit accounts.azgfd.com/Account/Register and complete the required fields. PointGuard is a great way to protect bonus points for when “life happens.” PointGuard is $5 per species, per applicant, and ensures if a successful applicant is unable to participate in a hunt for any reason, the accumulated bonus points that were expended to draw that hunt permit-tag will be reinstated. Visit www.azgfd.com/hunting/pointguard/, or call (602) 942-3000, for more information. AZGFD will post an announcement on its website and social media channels when draw results are available.

1 pointI've been wanting to do this for some time now. Remember Nosler Partition are designed to work between 1800 fps and unlimited and retain between 60 & 70% of their weight. Some were DRT. Some Traveled a ways. The WT went almost 100yds (the furthest).
