Somehow with only 6 bonus points, I drew an early rifle bull tag in Unit 9. I figured I would be hunting antelope in Wyoming this fall, so I only put in for the long-shot early bull hunt in 9. Guess I should have bought a lottery ticket too.
Why isn’t pointguard refunded when you don’t get drawn.
edit: I got some laughs and I’m not trying to be stupid but I’m serious. You buy it ahead of time as a gamble to protect the tag. But with no tag, shouldn’t you get refunded the money?
So since we are tag #1&2 that means I went in the bonus round. One hunt has 1 tag in the bonus round the other 2. I am going archery antelope hunting in 7.
That looks awesome! I was in San Quintin a week ago shooting quail and geese. Took a panga out for an afternoon fishing and caught a bunch of yellowtail and some other stuff. Freshwater fishing seems like a waste anytime I get back from a saltwater trip.
Well it does mean all that much because it keeps you in the resident pool. If you understand how the draw works you would understand that depending on how many points you have and what hunts you apply for it could take you 25+ years to draw certain elk tags.
My daughter also drew her AZ Antelope tag, Unit 10 at 10 years old with only a HS point. Was her first time ever applying. Blew my mind. Great first hunt though.
Always a chance. My daughter drew unit 5b when she just turned 10 and only had her HS point. Only 5 tags issued and she was tag#1. I admit that was Crazy luck
