Christmas morning in 90 I think. I thought it was big. I hunted every x/mas day after that for a long time.

I had never hunted deer in Arizona before. I asked my friend how big Coues deer were. He said if you can see antlers, it's a good one. This was about 1985 near Geronimo's Surrender Site.

Here’s my first coues. Shot in 2003 in unit 32. I wish we would have known how to hunt coues like we do now. We used to just walk around until we jumped one up. I remember we thought that the bigger one my brother killed was huge!

Incredible buck - first or best! I'm also amazed but not surprised that your camera equipment and/or photography at the time was decades ahead of every one else.

So this is probably the rarest thing I'll ever see in the desert. Finally after the rain stopped I went out and the first deer I find.... This is the raw file. I'll add more and edit this when I get home. The fawn had been taken down prior to this clip and at the end of the clip, briefly escapes, but is caught again while the two other cats are chasing the doe.

Idk what I’m more impressed with the spikes getting killed or the 40lb bears getting killed. i don’t bear hunt so idk, but are bears just not passed on? Like you just shoot whatever bear no matter the size?

The numbers of animals in the later 80s &early 90s were WAY more than now. It may not be reflected in the books, as things have changed drastically with technology since then, but as far as numbers it’s no comparison. I keep hoping we will go into a 10-20 year wet cycle again so those kind of numbers might come back. It was awesome.

1 and 27 getting pounded!! Go figure, I always thought a bunch more archery bucks die vs. What agfd thinks. Mandatory reporting for ALL hunts is the key.

I have been using the Outdoor Edge 3.5 Razor on my last two cow elk. One blade lasts the entire elk doing the gutless method. https://www.sportsmans.com/hunting-gear-supplies/knives-tools/knives/outdoor-edge-35-razorlite-edc-35-inch-folding-knife-orange/p/1550902
