Alright, its been alluded to on another post so figured I might as well let it rip here. My 15 yo son has the one sheep tag for 37B. The odds to get the tag are ridiculous and I don’t want to even pretend it’s fair. But he is also a hard working student athlete who sacrifices a lot for his goals. I want him to be successful. We have found a few rams and one solid one we hope to reconnect with. But his time will be limited as he has school and practice everyday until 12/20 and then he has practice everyday except Christmas Eve and Christmas. So we are going to hit it hard on weekends until school gets out and then see how much practice he thinks he can get away with missing. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a sheep hunt, this might be your chance. If you would like to team up and help glass on 12/1 (opening day, Sunday after Thanksgiving), shoot me a message and we will coordinate. We plan to put out as many eyes as we can to try and turn up a ram and see if we can get him killed. The unit is huge and pretty remote with sheep spread out all over. So trying to figure out where they are is the biggest challenge. Then waiting for them to be in a spot where you can get to them is the next challenge. Then execute an effective long range shot. This is no cake walk. You’ll need your own transportation and glass. If we have a spare radio we will loan you one, but cell service is pretty good in a lot of that country. It would be awesome if guys were comfortable evaluating sheep. The plan is to get as many eyes out locating on the first to see if we can turn up something good and then put together a plan to kill him. If it doesn’t work out, we’ll try again the next weekend. Rinse and repeat until school gets out. Thanks to those who have already reached out and those who want to participate. I think this could be really cool.

Colt Diamondback .22, Mfg. 1978. 6" barrel. Excellent condition. Typical smooth Colt action. The few times I used it I had a set of Pachmayr grips on it so the wood grips wouldn't get dinged up. Somehow over the years the grip screw for the wood grips got separated from the grips - I'll keep looking. $1875.00 $1795.00 for local sale. East valley - Queen Creek/STV area. Now $1700.00

Do you even hunt? Nothing wrong with leaving a blind unattended. Don't be a POS in life and steal others blinds. Simple as that. I do like the smart tag or air tag idea tho.....

Bummer for sure. I personally would never leave one unattended. https://www.amazon.com/SAMSUNG-SmartTag2-Bluetooth-Tracker-Tracking/dp/B0CCBP3XN8/ref=asc_df_B0CCBP3XN8?mcid=f12892135ec439cd88ae46de901b375f&tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=693308325730&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=12542803008481229409&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030029&hvtargid=pla-2228835594948&th=1

My brother in law dropped this guy at 75 yards this morning. Not a giant but he was happy to have him.

Dang. A lever action needs suppression? Sounds like a bunch of navy seals out here trying to kill deer and coyotes. Just get some foam throw away earplugs…..

You guys play to much COD. A beautiful lever action with a suppressor would be an abomination.

There is a reason that the majority of sheep at the banquet are mounted by Clay Goldman with Mogollon Taxidermy in Payson. I wouldn't even consider anyone else and would make the drive up.

BTW: I check 594 lbs of meat to Casey's Processing, no ribs, hooves or spine only leg bones present. "Dave's" bull scored 122" B&C. I am very fortunate to have been able to share camp with accomplished hunters and persons like the "Slone" family. This has been truly a "Once and a Life Time" experience for me. I would not change a thing about the approach except......... I wish I had more time around the camp with these fellas! Can not say enough about Dean and his efforts while Mark and I monitored our locations. Here is Mark's nice bull as well! Congrats to Mark for his steady perseverance for 30 days!
