Sure. Coyotes have an impact. But the bigger issues are habitat loss, fragmentation, checkerboard access and drought.

You should see the grass spring up in Young right now. It’s unbelievable. I see giant herds of elk every morning gobbling it up.

Just because your Bermuda grass goes somewhat dormant (mine is still green right now and growing) doesn't mean all plants go dormant.

Nah, this is still money in the bank. They’re gonna be fatter and healthier going into winter. Won’t have to move much all winter. Go into growing season primed. the way it’s shaping up, could be wet all winter

Great job... I'm on the struggle bus in a crap unit that is as crappy as ever typing from my tent. Got a bit extra motivation now. Thanks.

Looking to sell a Remington 700 BDL in 22-250. The rifle has a heavy barrel and it shoots lights out. It has a Simmons 6-18 scope that can go with the rifle or not. The second photo is a cold bore and then a 5 shot group immediately following. The first photo is 3 shots right after the 5 without cooling. All were shot at 100 yards from a bench on bags, no bipod or lead sled. Asking for $1000 obo. I’m in west Mesa, near Bass Pro.

Cliff Rose put new growth on in November and is one of the best winter feeds. You can watch deer go from patch to patch

Oh ya. The last 2 months I’ve been all over 23n and there’s a ton of new spring like grass

Love the randomness of our draw but also hate the randomness. 😆 80% luck

Narrow-minded comment, now you're becoming ignorant beyond your logic. Not all plants go dormant. Elk eat more than grass. "Of course it would be more optimal" is precisely OPs point. You went negative. If you can't see that perennial vegetation and hydrologic conditions will benefit significantly from the current precipitation, then there isn't much left to say. Enjoy the weather 😎

The other option is no rain and continued drought, to think anything otherwise would be...................................... Would a heavy snowpack help out more? Absolutely but to think these rains are not a God send, I am lost for words. Arizona is so unique as many things do continue to grow and have nutritional value due to the fact that we just don't have the harsh winters statewide like other parts of the world. Take a drive from Heber to Payson and look at all the dead trees..........due to lack of moisture! Keep the moisture coming rain or snow, we need it all.

Your comment on growth is just incorrect and your logic is ignorant to seasonal hydrologic and biotic relationships. I like OPs word-use "primed," a great way for our watersheds to be going into moisture during any month. Very nice is the answer to OPs question!

Flashgun, you're very correct. these winter rain help the spring growth tremendously!

Winter rains definitely help the soil nutrient wise for spring bloom

You’re probably right because I’m a little retarded but that doesnt make any logical sense to me. that an 700lb animal could grow optimal antlers without an optimal body going into the growing season. Rain in June and July don’t make any sense to me either, they’re almost done by then. This isn’t the frozen tundra. stuff will grow, waterholes are all full, there’s more in the forecast for next week. It already can’t be as bad as the last 2 years

I hope you were able to see the aurora earlier this week. This is what my camera caught here in Flagstaff just before 10pm.

I get that same message anytime photo is 3mb or larger which is probably the case with all newer cell phones today. I take photos with enough distance that there is enough area around the item to crop. Take the photo, open it in my gallery, click edit, zoom it in until item fills the screen, rotate so it's not upside-down or sideways, save it. Open the new saved version and check file size. If I can get it under 2.0mb it will load every time.
