Been eyeballing these little beauties for years but was held back buying one due to the $1,500 retail price....made by BOSSKI in Caldwell, Idaho.....they make a tandem axle version (much bigger) and a couple of utility open dump bed designs as well for hauling, etc. Here's a link to their products: Bosski Built One popped up locally for $300 on FaceBook and I was fortunate enough to be the first to respond. The unit was built in the late 90's but other than needing a fresh set of tires and a gas shock support for the lid it's in great shape!! Decided to upgrade to a 4-ply tire instead of going with the stock 2-ply.....since I hunt/camp in rough areas and sharp rocks are brutal on tires. Would have gone with more ply's but the 25x12x9 size limits what's available. The unit can handle up to 800 pounds of gear and weighs in at 215 pounds empty. Overall length is just at 7' from the tongue to back of trailer and the overall length hooked to the quad is just at 14' Biggest challenge is coming up with a way to secure the cargo/gear to keep it from bouncing around. Will try different size bins but do not want to drill holes for tie-downs because the unit is pretty much water tight and I don't want to compromise that. Look forward to getting out and seeing how it does camping/hunting as spring weather approaches.

Yes , when it is full there is a spill way about 40' from the top , no the water doesn't flow over the top

I believe it means you can rotate the ports to any position once it is tightened.

Thats fine! I agree. But nearly 1.25 million people die in road crashes every year and 35,000 in the US. Do we stay home and not do anything? We just live with those odds. Everyone here has a better chance of dying in a car crash this year instead of corona. IF we are doing everything to save human life a working society will not exist! There needs a machine of economics to work and move forward. Just strange we don't give a crap of all the other stuff that kills us but we let media freak us out and consume us. Again I still think its a huge problem and we can do our part. Just like we need to practice safe driving. Do your part and stay safe on the roads. But we just can't keep the cars home or nothing will go on. Just something to think about!

We are doing our part for social distancing. But swine flu infected 1.6 billion people on earth and 61 million in the US and killed 13,000 in the US and 250k-500k in the world. Why did no one know about this? Life went on. We are no where near these numbers right now. I just find this Ironic and strange. Let alone the 55k people who died this flu season in the US. I believe 99% of us will be fine. But again Im doing my part and also staying away from my parents.

They've closed the restaurants and bars... if they close the forests and lakes I will commit Harikiri! I need my social distancing to occur outside of my house with my wife for God's sake!

Confirmed. I am sticking with 257 weatherby. I could give up on my only quarter bore.

Think of it like this for most practical hunting applications. You are just putting a piece of lead down range. The only difference is the weight of the piece of lead and speed. The cartridge the piece of lead comes from doesn't really matter. The difference in the energy one piece of lead creates over a difference piece of lead is very minimal between all the cartridges you are talking about. Now if you want to shoot 1000 yard competitions then there can be a difference. For shooting critters 700 yards and under you are just trying to drive yourself crazy........trust me I'm already crazy from debating this with myself. If you would like to join us we have a 12 step program that you can join. We have plenty of coffee and will discuss our issues.....

6.5 PRC or the 6.5 x 300 weatherby. I think the PRC will be more accurate (both will be plenty accurate for hunting purposes) but the weatherby will be a bit faster.....do you really need more speed...sure why not. If you love the 257 just stick another barrel on that gun and go kill more stuff.
