NWS here in Flag said it’s not looking promising. Funny how everyone said an early monsoon. Lol It’s just proof NO ONE really knows what the weather will do. They said dry winter and we got slammed with snow and now July looks like it will fizzle out.

No formal training. Been in family business and helped at friends restaurants. I learned very early from my mom and when you can pull off a Thanksgiving feast for 10 to 20 people, its awesome. I was going to go to culinary school, but I knew to make it big, you really have to get lucky and or put in a shiiiit ton of odd hours of work. I really love to cook and yes, I have F'd up plenty. I am lucky that working from home, I can prep a little during lunch so that making dinner is easier. I try to eat well at least 1 solid meal. Meal prep isnt easy, and I cook for myself, making it harder.

They're still here because most guys that can afford them already have some and the guys that can't afford them can't justify dropping 3k on binos even if that's what they're worth.

I have A Tikka CTR that I got in a trade here from WELDOR I think, I finished load development with Berger 130 OTM and H4350 at 44 grains. It shoots .3 moa at 300 yards running 2879. I had to re check velocity several times. Hard to believe from a 20" barrel.

Yeah we had over 20” last monsoon down here and then a wet winter. Lots of dry brush now. A couple weeks of dry lightning strikes as this thing winds up is a little spooky

I know this is a year late but...We've hunted Colorado for the last 10 years and unfortunately it has been going downhill. With the reintroduction of wolves and the massive winter kill this year I'm not sure how the future looks. We didn't draw Colorado for the first time this year in a unit we had 100% odds. With that being said, we have killed some amazing deer in units that required 0-1 points. We've killed deer from the road and 6 miles in. Colorado has been special in regards to every unit having the potential to find a mature deer. It just been harder and harder every year to turn up bucks and point creep is very real and even more real after this year. If you're not looking for a monster it's a no brainer to enter the draw. 2nd and 3rd season are loaded with hunters no matter how far you go in. Big deer are typically very high or very low. They pass through the transition zone quick due to the pressure. PM me if you have questions

This was never about race or color. Yes I'm white but I come from a very diverse family. There is just about every color or race in the family somewhere. Dad married a Mexican so did my brother . One married a pilipeno then a white woman then a Mexican. Step bro and sis are half white / Mexican . Aunt Terri is black. Race has nothing to do with class and respect for other people and there space. I see just as many whites leave camp littered as any other race . The music or noise as most call it comes from everyone with a stereo in there sxs that thinks everyone should hear it. There are bad apples in all colors and races. Remember that when you leave camp and drive by the white or black or any other race you see leaving there trash in the woods .

Just finished three days of fishing out of Homer with family. Weather ranged from perfect to wind and rain. Be prepared for anything. Heading back to AZ with a bunch of ling cod, halibut, salmon, cod and rock fish. great memories. Message me with any questions. Caught my biggest Halibut at around 100lbs.

I was that guy one time. I pulled up to elk camp late Wednesday night and just backed the trailer in and went to bed. I woke up to go scout the next morning and realized I was camped 50yds from another hunter. He was up making coffee so I walked over and told him I was sorry and would move camp when I was done scouting. He just laughed it off and said as long as we weren't too loud it wouldn't bother him at all. Every night he would come over and share the days events. We have been friends ever since.

I believe the murder came after the threat of having his as$ beat.. and I support that. Act like a tough guy (over a camping spot) and get popped.

Big ball of yarn there. 2nd season can be warm or it can be 4 feet of snow. If you have been on any hunt in AZ and think there is a lot of other hunters you’ll be blown away by the number of hunters in colorados second and third season. They have their deer and elk hunts at the same time. And bull elk is over the counter. I’ve hunted 5 different states and they are all kind of the same. 70% will be road hunters. 10% will backpack in as far as they can. The other 20 will park and hunt from the road every day. most other states I’ve hunted after Oct 15 getting far into forest land without 4x4 and chains is difficult. The terrain is way different than AZ. As for your last question. It depends on the unit. All those options are available. Do some research on their website. They have a great map that shows winter range summer range landowner ship etc.
